  3. The color of her skin is not going to change the story, ariel is a mermaid, the color of her skin doesnt matter. Also in the little mermaid cartoon, there is a black mermaid, using "science" to prove mermaids are white is just dumb, its a mythical creature. Halle is an incredibly talented girl and is deserving of the role. At the end of the day Halle is still gonna be Ariel and Disney is still gonna make their money. Get over it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

  17. The plot of Pocahontas is very much rooted in race so that's kind of a poor strawman. Also, I would argue that Disney's wallet is greatly influenced by what their audience thinks of them, which is what some people are saying is the sole reason they chose a black actress to play Ariel. That being said, I would like to think they chose her at least partially for her talent- that girl can sing! :)❤
