Why Dancers Dance and Fighters Fight

  1. do u even know what farming is?
if u think farming is not about taking money from another player and just to pin them, then why would 2014(or earlier) players farm inactives? TO PIN THEM??
and why prank? because it helps weaken your opponent so you can better land a hit on him, whether fight or dance?

  2. An intelligent farmer will know when their opponent is online and will prank them while online , pins them faster and takes less energy from you. Also makes it more difficult to gain money while their on. Then you worry about taking money from them when their offline via strips

  3. Uhh... Jopo has been playing PIMD for 8 years and used to be lcbc... he was a huge farmer before he mostly quit the game... maybe kind of do your research on who you're talking to. He literally IS a "2014(or earlier) player".

  4. is u dumb. People farmed inactives for money gain and not to pin them way before parties came out.

Like i said, each action has its own advantages.

    Fight - taking money
    Dance - Earning plunder
Prank - pinning a player so they cant do anything

Pranking is the most effective form of farming on pimd because, again, you can pin in less hits than Fight would.

  5. ok, i admit my error cuz i should've used 'some' players from 2014 or earlier, and i said 2014 because i saw kefo made a thread entitled farm list where he puts inactives that can be farmed..i'm just not sure if it's already a thing even before 2014 cuz i joined only in 2016...either way, i'm only half-wrong so i guess i'm half-right?

  7. lol. You are not a farmer if you farm for money. You're a milker. In a farm war, you want your opponent pinned to reduce the amount of hits they can get in on yourself or others. The lower their HP is, the least chances they have of actually doing damage to you. Successfully pranking takes care of that. I've been in many sfw's big and small, and many many system wars since I started in 2011, I think i know a thing or two about farming.

  8. Eavesdropping op

  9. Both builds are weak

  10. Legit just wrote like 2 paragraphs but forums are gr8 at deleting garbage

Basically, build only determines how much money you make from them, but misc and tut bonus are better for their static value

  11. Farming inactives is a tool that helps inexperienced people learn how to farm others without fear of repercussion from someone who is active. It allows someone to learn how to effectively use hit patterns before they can move onto hitting active people. It doesn't really have much to do with earning money, although some people do like to milk inactives.

  12. Milking inactives still makes more money than parties. It was and still is a relevant aspect of PIMD.

  13. sfw=strip farm war
even a club war winner is determined by the plunder made by the warring clubs, whichever clubs gets the highest plunder wins...
    your point?

  14. dude js it's in your best interest to not argue with someone that's been playing since 2011... jopo knows what he's talking about. especially over farming because that's literally all there was in this game for several years... :?

  15. Ugh. Noobs.

Read a guide before you post, k?

  16. how do you define farming? what is it for?

my point in this thread is that players who like PvPs should acknowledge dancing as form or part of farming because it's been here alongside the fight button...like what i posted, some still don't...

  17. Friendly clubs wars are very different to sfw's.

Plundering is an aspect of sfw, but is not the point.
The purpose of an sfw is to make your opponent give up... It's to make their experience so negative that they yield.
This often involves weakening your opponents. Taking all their tb and/or energy.

While having money can help you strip them and gain more tb to be stronger, it isn't the measure of success. Rather cf's are the measure of success.

  18. Farming - isn't only about gathering resources as the name may logically imply.

Farming is a general term that refers to dancing/fighting accounts to earn money, keeping actives pinned with fights or pranks, or stripping players with fights.

They all fit under than term. People know what dancing is for, Jopo just claimed that fights earn more plunder than dances because you get more hits per hour... so he claimed that the primary role of dancing is outmatched by fights... I doubt this is true, and I imagine a.t.a would want to rebalance that if it was true.

but he made a valid point which you haven't countered.

  19. o and in the specific context that Vice used it, Jopo would say "milking" in stead, and others may say plundering, how about stealing? It's all just semantics.

I think that if you don't care for dances, and someone is dancing you, don't tell them. Let them keep wasting their energy.

Dances are sometimes useful in system wars... but less so in sfw's when it sucks for the main 2 operations - keeping oppo pinned, and taking oppo's money.

  20. You havent been here long enough nor are you important enough to change a pimd term thats been around long before you started playing.

The original term for sfw started in Kaw i believe as osw, meaning Open System War, which meant anything can happen from stripping to pinning. And since lots of stripping happened, it came be known as Sfw.

A lot of pimd terms came from kaw originally so..

    Thats my knowledge anyways.

How do i define farming? the set definition for pimd is continuously attacking another player. Doesnt say anything about earning money or items.

whats it for? to disrupt game play.

    At least I believe so.
