agrees with lidia as well!... I honestly didn't get my first phone till I was 18. And I wouldn't let my daughter have one either till she's at least 15-16 and it will be a prepaid phone!
I'm almost 16, and I already knew about all the stuff that's on here. I don't see why it's a big deal. As long as kids don't give pics to random people or give info to people they're fine.
As many has stated it's about the maturity of the kid not the age I mean yea sure there r kids who will b perverted but as others has said it's about the hormones acting up but it's still no excuse. I dnt care wat age u r jus as long as u're mature and not a perverted person or a physco killer. I mean today kids r expose to things they shouldn't know until they're 18 or older by either the schools about sex Ed or from their parents or they cn learn frm places they shouldnt learn it frm. I mean I'm 13 and wen I start to talk with someone they say I sound older than wen I told them my age and I take tht as a compliment and I already know about these things frm my school n my parents n even frm books n movies b cuz my parents trust me enough to watch the movies but I dnt act on it. And u get books of jus a teenage book n the authors sometimes put some details on there during the intense part. I think tht it's a lil unfair on how some ppl would treat kids 13 or younger these days I mean some adult jus stop talking to a kid on here jus b cuz they're 13 or younger without even getting to know the kid. I know life isn't fair but some ppl jus treat kids in a way they shouldn't b treated jus b cuz they're 13 or younger. I mean honestly they're adults and they should b the one who's setting an example instead of judging us 13 year olds or younger without even getting to know us first. It jus shows tht kids cn b more mature than adults n tht should b embarrassing to the adult. I mean some kids set an example to the adults lik my dad says sometimes wen I say adult it sound lik "a dolt" n I take tht as a way of saying tht some adults are dolts.
And on the phone topic I hav an IPhone 4 n will b getting the IPhone 5. I understand wat u're saying on afraid ur daughter being in danger frm the Internet. It is a dangerous place to b in. But I think some parents rly understand n trust their kids (not saying u dnt trust or understand ur daughter) for them to b able to give them an iPhone 3 or 4. But my mom the overprotective type n she um not rly the understanding type but I still love n always will. I know she's doing it to protect me n to teach me something frm it. But my mom do trust on the phone or on other things n I take tht as a compliment.
