  1. Yay!

  2. IMPORTANT!
My phone won't let me charge it, and it's currently at 43% left. I was, however, able to reclaim the data I had previously lost, with the backstory and such. Maybe I'll be able to get it onto my pc. Anyways, after this update I'm most likely to have to write this on PC only, meaning my ability will be greatly diminished. I also won't be able to read any messages or anything, as only the forums are accessible to the PC. If by some miracle my phone begins to charge again, I'll be able to continue here, but if not, my only hope is to get a used iPod touch or enough money to buy one for xmas.... But enough of that, UPDATE TIME!

    CHAPTER 11
"You're kidding, right?" Kris stared at her with doubt.
"Of course not! Why would I? This is serious. If she got you as her tutor just to tall with you about this, then I need to come as well." Angie stared back into his eyes.
"Well... I guess that wouldn't be too much of a problem... I hope." Kris chewed on his lip a little, "The lesson starts once our detention has ended, at about 4, in the science lab, since that'll be the only free room."
Angie nodded, "Got it, I'll be there." She ran off as the bell rang, and Kris walked slowly towards his science class, eating the sandwich he'd bought while he walked.
The science class went by uneventfully, someone sabotaged te experiment, almost lighting fire to the school, although the teacher reacted quickly with a box of baking powder, which he'd had ready for the next class. Kris took his time, makig sure nobody messed with his beakers and ingredients, and completed the experiment quickly, achieveing the expected results. A couple of girls stared at him the entire lesson, and although he did notice them, and they were attractive, he paid them no mind and worked diligently.
The lesson ended with little excitment, and Kris had an hour free afterwards, which he took to go towards the library, bumping into JJ on the way. Kris looked at him, and JJ glared back, but both kept going past each other without incident. As Kris entered the almost-empty library, he saw none other than Taylor, seemingly waiting for him on a rather comforable chair.
"Hey." Taylor didn't look up from her book.
"Eragon? Good taste." Kris commented, glancing at the cover before sitting in the chair opposite her.
"Yeah, Paolini puts an uncommon depth into his story, and I find that comforting. His world allows me to ignore my own, and sparks my imagination to create a more personal one as well." Angie said the oddly familiar words almost like she was reading them off of a paper.
Kris stared at her, disbelieving, "How'd you get a copy of my book report? That was in the 8th grade!" He lowered his voice, "Eiter you're some sort of stalker, or you're hiding something. Which is it?"
Taylor smiled, still not looking at him, "Why not a bit of both? I know you as well as your friend Angie, maybe even better."
    Kris's eyebrows furrowed, "Why me?"
"That question has been asked by so very many before, most likely without any form of answer. My answer is simple; You're the only one who can help right now. The dreams are a sign of that."
"Angie has had the same dreams. Explain." Kris moved to the chair directly next to her, gazing into her eyes for any sign of a joke or deceit, finding only truth in them.
"She will follow you. But you would not follow her. You are a leader, Kris, you persuede people to follow you well." Taylor looked up, her eyes meeting Kris's, and Kris was shocked by the emotion contained in them, the pain, the compassion, understanding, but above all, determination. "You can lead them, and with your help, you can change a world."
Kris turned sceptical, despite the unwavering conviction in her eyes, "A world? But not this world. Why?"
"The two are directly linked, Kris. What affects the one, affects the other. Your assistance in our world will directly affect your own. I cannot give any examples, but you will know them when you see them." Taylor kept his eyes locked to her own, in an unrelenting gaze.
Kris stayed silent, considering what she'd just said. The things she was saying in her eyes confirmed the things she had said verbally. Still, his logical side struggles against it, "How could I possibly believe this? It has never been shown before, this other world of yours. How can I know if you're not crazy?"
Taylor's eyes flashed, "You've experienced the world yourself, Kris. Math class and the dreams. As I told you, those weren't just cases of your imagination running wild, you were seeing and experiencing the world yourself." She waited to see his reaction.
Kris thought again about the dreams, or visions, as Taylor called them. They had felt strangly realistic, in a way that should have shocked him awake multiple times, yet didn't all the same. "Well..." His logical side still tried to argue, fighting the losing battle, and his reasonable side (A slightly different part of him) stopped it, and Kris was finally convinced, at least for now. "How could I do something that would save a world? I'm just... Well, me."
Taylor shrugged, "I wasn't told how you would help, just that you are the only one able to." she blinked, suddenly his eyes were no longer transfixed to hers, and he blinked as well, his eyes suddenly feeling extremely dry.
"A fat lot of help that is... I suppose I'll have to improvise. Angie will be coming to our lesson after school, but then again, so is Bridget... We'll have to deal with that when we get there..." A figure suddenly jumped out, scaring the pair of them.
"Kris! Hitting on the new girl already? I bet you just couldn't wait to leave Bridget, seeing as she probably wasn't interesting for you anymore." A familiar, spiteful blonde sneered at them.
"Go f*** yourself, Tiffany, or just ask one of the many football jocks to do it for you." Kris replied coldly.
"Kris... You really don't know your situation..." Several other blondes strutted out of the bookshelves. "You moght want to reconsider your attitude towards me. Also, new girl, how would you like to stick with us?" The other girls looked towards her suprised.
Taylor pretended to think about it for a while, "Hmmm, no, I don't think so..."
"Oh? Again, your position limits your choices..." Tiffany gave Taylor a death stare, and the other Harpies turned back towards the two, like sharks around dying prey.
"I don't think so! I'm going have to ask you all to back off." Another girl's voice sounded out, clear as day, and a tanned girl with long, wavy, panther-black hair and sharp green eyes walked in, and the Harpies all moved aside immediately.
"Harper." The name was spit out from one of the Harpies loathingly.
"Harpies. Tiffany. As I said, you're going to have to leave." the new girl was being reckless, walking straight up to Tiffany, but the amount of energy coming from her prevented the other girls from acting.
"Watch yourself, freak, you're making some powerful enemies here." Tiffany glowered at her.
"And? Is that anything new?" the new girl raised her eyebrows and cocked her head to the side, challenging Tiffany to do something.
"Get. Out. Now." yet another voice, this one more familiar, came from the doorway, and Angie stepped in, fury in her eyes. The Harpies hissed and stepped away from her.
"Fine, but your ragtag group of outcasts aren't going to survive very long in this school." Tiffany glowered darkly and stepped away, turning towards her blonde group, "Let's go." she left, the other Harpies turning on their heels and following her.
Suddenly the library was almost empty again, and the wild girl walked up to Taylor. "Destiny. Harper. Nice to meet you, I saw you in P.E. earlier today." Destiny reached out with her hand.
"Right, you were the girl swinging like a monkey, right?" Taylor took her hand and shook it. "I'm Taylor Summers, and it's nice to meet you as well."
"What happened in here? I just saw more blondes come out of here than I've ever even seen in a library." a brown-haired guy with curious amber eyes peeked in. "Oh, it's you guys. What was with Tiffany?"
"She was trying to get her way. Again. But Destiny," Kris grinned at the wordplay, "made her leave." Destiny herself nodded, and Angie listened silently.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I haven't introduced myself, I'm Owen Dix, all-round nice guy," Owen grinned at Taylor, "I think we have science together, 3rd class, right?"
Taylor nodded, "Yeah, you sat in the third row, 2nd closest to the right of the class. I remember you tried to blow up the beaker, and you said-"
"It was a dare." Owen laughed. "Good memory."
"Thanks, but when you stick out like that it's hard not to notice you." Taylor stuck out her hand, grinning as well. "Taylor Summers, nice to meet you."
Owen took the hand easily and shook it, "The pleasure is mine." He imitated a bow and laughed.
"So now what? Tiffany has most likely marked us on her social hit-list, so do we stand together or lay low?" Angie asked them all, mostly directed towards Kris.
"Yeah, but it's not like they can do much to me, I'm already an outcast, and they have nothing on me." Destiny spoke up instantly, eyes flashing.
"Well, Owen should be fine, but Angie and Taylor... I have enough dirt on Tiffany that she can't touch me, Angie, you don't care enough for her to hurt you, but since Taylor is the new girl, and she just turned down an invitation into the group, Tiffany will be coming after you." Kris summed up the general details, each person nodding at their own section.
"I'll be fine, bullies can't hinder me." Taylor said adamantly.
"Not in the important way, but having the majority of the school on your back won't help. Listen to me, I know these people. Tiffany controls the entire top of the popular hierarchy, everywhere from the cheerleaders to the guitarists, the jocks to the basketball team, and all of the normal students. The only students she doesn't control are us, the band, and the chess club. And they're neutral to everything, so they can avoid getting picked on. We're pretty much the only people in the entire school who openly resist her by defying her. Everyone else is far too afraid. She holds the crown on her kingdom of ice, with which she rules the school." Kris elaborated, outlining the poularity balance.
"I get it, I should stick with you guys." Taylor said, once Kris took a breath.
"Not only that, but keep your head low during class, don't overacheive, don't point out their flaws i class, and don't confront them. Those things just make you a target." Kris held her eyes this time, making sure she paid attention.
"Yeah, Kris knows how to survive the Harpies, he's been doing it for years." Angie spoke up, analyzing Taylor, checking to see if she understood.
"Yeah, he has, actually." Owen looked at Kris, and amused smile on his face.
"I actually haven't noticed before..." Destiny also looked to Kris.
"See? They're all ready to follow you." Taylor whispered just loud enough for Kris to hear.
Kris looled at the others, and realized that there was a possibility that-
"Have you two also been having really realistic dreams lately? Some sort of lake?"
Both Owen and Destiny's eyes widened simultaniously, telling him all he needed to know. "Incredible..."
"How did you know?!" Both reacted, saying the same thing at once, then they looked at each other, "You too?" then all four looked to Kris.
"So, is this the group you were thinking of, Taylor?" Kris asked once the group had quietened.
"We're missing one... And I'm sure you know who." Taylor gazed into Kris's eyes.
