Nah, not really... Also, it wouldn't ruin much. It would work like a trailer for a movie; you get an idea of what might happen, but how, why or what happens afterwards is unknown, leaving you wanting more
A bit over the 10 hours I said, but you're all lucky I even update! No, I'm just kidding, this story wouldn't have existed without each of your support in bumping it, not to mention reminding (harassing) me to update (Maggie and Angie ) and giving me those death threats (You know who you are ) So here, I'll give you the next part, as well as post a picture of how it looked before I decided to majorly edit. ENJOY! CHAPTER 19: First Encounter Kris returned home, unlocking the door, finding his little golden retriever wagging her tail happily. "Been waiting for me all day, huh?" Kris commented. Lucy just kept wagging. He set down his school bag and picked up the leash for her, and when he put it on they left, taking a relatively short walk. As he did so, his restless mind pondered the events of the day, as well as what might happen in the coming night. He passed neighbours as he walked down the friendly, familiar street towards the grocery store, but instead of turing right, towards the store, he turned left, into the park, which made Lucy extremely happy, running around, sniffing everything. After about half an hour, the now-relieved dog and her owner returned home, and Lucy went and laid down on her doggy bed, while Kris petted her a bit and went upstairs with his backpack. He studied distractedly until roughly 6, when his mother called him down for dinner. "Rabbit stew?" he asked, as the rather familiar smells came to him. "No rabbit, I made it with beef instead. Now come set the table, please." his mom replied before heading downstairs to finish cooking. Kris was glad to have something, anything to hasten the time, and he set out bowls and silverware for the three people and sat down when dinner was served. "So how was school?" His mom asked as she began serving herself a portion of the stew. Kris waited, summarizing and filtering the events of the day before answering, "Well, there's a new student at school." He didn't want to say that the day was "eventful", as then he'd get asked half a dozen questions about why it was so eventful, of which only two or three he'd be able to truthfully answer without getting in trouble or raising suspicion... "She's... different." His mom looked at him, "Different how?" Kris took a second to answer, "Well, she acts rather normal, but... I'm not sure how to explain..." he silently berated himself for saying such an idiotic thing, as he couldn't say she was a princess from another universe, at least not without a frantic call to his therapist and possibly an asylum... He saw his mom grinning as she said, "You like her, don't you!" Kris didn't blush or yell or anything, he just chuckled, "No, I still like Bridget, you know that." "How's it going with Bridget?" Carina, his mother's GF, spoke up. Kris winced slightly, "She was with another guy, but she broke up with him today. She told me that even though she's broken up with him, she still doesn't much care for me..." His mom chuckled, "That's how it goes sometimes, kid..." The chatting became a lot more trivial, mostly about what he learned (Or rather, was supposed to have learned) at school, does he have any homework, etc. Kris finished eating and began cleaning up the dishes from dinner, putting the leftovers in a tupperware container, and once he finished washing, drying and putting away all of the pans and cutting boards and other cooking equipment, he returned to his room. He looked at his watch. 7:30, that's ages away until he usually feels tired, so he turned on his pc, logging into an online personal radio service, and listened to music as he played various games on his computer. When his mom knocked his door, informing him that it was 9:30, he turned off the music, quit the game and put his desktop computer to sleep, before showering and getting ready for the next day, packing his school bag and whatnot. He was full, warm, clean and now very tired as he dressed himself in his pyjamas and laid down under the black covers that were adorned with japanese symbols. He drifted off quickly, again finding himself at the lake... But something was different than before...
Lol, sorry Rin, but my Death Note is not leaving my house... I have more than my story there, not to mention less than half my story is there, the rest is either on my iPhone or written in my new, leather-bound book from... I think Latvia or something...
