  1. Gotcha. You're Tiffany's next-best girlfriend, alright?

  2. I have to admit, I suck at keeping deadlines... BUT, I did write 8 more chapters on paper... So here it is, the next part!

Notice: I have 5 concept drawings of Bridget, Taylor, Angie, Owen and Destiny posted on page 25. Please let me know if they are alright, or if there's something I should change. Thanks!

    CHAPTER 14

    ~Destiny Harper's PoV~
She watched as Kris planned his route, seeing what he was about to do, and her emerald eyes widened. "Wow... If he can pull this off..." She studied his movements, seeing his one moment of doubt and fear before he leapt.

    ~Kris's PoV~
His hands approached the target stone quickly, and he began to close his hands early, but his speed was so greqt that as his left hand grasped the protruding rock, it slipped... As he swung his right hand simultaniously toward it, and this time stuck to it, stopping him mid-air. His fingers held the rock as if his life depended on it, and he was able to grip another rock with his left hand, and he began swinging, slowly making his way to the edge that he could again ascend from. Once he got a proper foothold, everything else was child's play in comparison, and he reached the top with much less effort.

    ~Destiny~
She watched as Kris almost fell, and caught himself, earning several shocked gasps from the students who had been watching. She had to admit that she was impressed with the enormous courage he'd displayed, as well as his sharp reflexes.
As Kris descended, Destiny began to clap, and soon the majority lf the other students were applauding as well, cheering Kris's leap of faith.
Destiny couldn't help but laugh as the popular and pretty girls attempted to catch Kris's eye with hair-flips and fluttering eyelids, but were all ignored as Kris walked over to Destiny.
"Top that." He said, breathing heavily, face red and sweaty from the exertion.
Destiny opened her mouth to reply, but the teacher blew his whistle, silencing the rest of the room. "Very well executed Kris, but unfortunately our time is up for today. Everyone go shower." the teacher dismissed the class, but as Kris was about to turn and head for the boys' locker rooms, Destiny tapped his shoulder, and he turned around.
"4 o'clock, at the science labs, right?" She looked into his eyes for confirmation, and he simply nodded, too out-of-breath to speak. She smiled and turned away, heading for her own locker rooms.

    CHAPTER 15
    ~Kris~
Once he was changed and the sweat washed off, Kris headed for the math room, pushing his way against the flow of students eager to leave. He knew Bridget tended to stay after school to do honework, or help others with theirs. He also knew Tiffany typically went to the mall with her group of Harpies. So he correctly assumed he wouldn't have any awkward or heated meetings on his way to detention.
"Nice of you to at least show up, Mr. Anderson." Mr. Adams' lazy voice called mockingly from the desk as Kris entered the otherwise empty room. Adams himself was lazily leaning back in his chair, feet up on the table.
"Sorry I'm late!" Taylor's voice suddenly called out, and she ran into the classroom, almost straight into Kris, stopping centimeters from him, "Oops, sorry, Kris," she said, looking him in the eyes.
"No harm done..." Kris's sentance trailed off, something in Taylor's eyes inexplicably locked him in place.
"Ahem, if the pair of you are finished flirting, there's a detention here for the pair of you!" Adams' raspy voice broke him out of the spell, and Kris blinked.
The two of them sat down, Taylor looking at her watch every minute or so. After maybe 5 minutes, a loud bang was heard in the hall, followed by the sounds of shrill whistling. Adams swore and stood up, "You two stay seated," he gruffly said as he stormed out into the hall.
"Action." Taylor's soft comment surprised Kris. As soon as Adams had left, Taylor quietly rose from her seat, pulling a container of some sort from a pocket as she hurried to Adam's desk. She opened the container and poured the contents into Adams coffee, and hurried back to her own desk and pretended to work.
Adams appeared in the doorway, looking rather pissed. "Damn arsonists! Who the hell sets off fireworks inside the school after the school's closed?!" he rantes as he went to his desk, and Kris had an idea of what Taylor had just pulled...
Adams sat down, and began drinking his coffee. Kris lowered his head and waited for Adams to burst out, asking who spiked his drink. After a few sips, Adams... did nothing. He kept watching the pair of them, sipping his coffee.
"What the... is he that drunk already?" Kris thought, considering possible merit in the rumors that Adams really did drink between classes... But as he thought over it, Adams lowered his mug and leaned back, his movements becoming increasingly sluggish. Eventually his eyes closed and his head fell back, and he snored.
Kris felt a tap on his shoulder, and turned to see Taylor packing her stuff, and Kris, looking back at the unconcious teacher, began to do the same. The pair silently left the room, and Taylor grabbed Kris's hand and led him upstairs, to the roof.
Once they were there, Kris immediately began questioning her, "What the hell was that?!" he burst out, shocked at what Taylor had just done.
"Oh come on, you know he's an utter a**," Taylor gave him a look that said "Oh please" as she continued, "I also did a bit of snooping today, and found out that he really does drink between classes, so I just slipped him a little NyQuil..." Kris's eyes went even wider, "No worries, he won't remember anything when he wakes up." Taylor chuckled.
"That doesn't change the fact you drugged a teacher!" Kris found himself almost shouting, and he conciously lowered his voice, "What could be so important that you needed to drug a freaking teacher?!"
At that particular question, Taylor hesitated, thinking. She chewed on her lip a little, and then asked, "Do you trust me?" she looked into his eyes, watching for his reaction.
Kris was caught a bit off guard by her own question, and he had to think it over. He barely knew her, but he highly doubted she'd try anything on him... "Yes... I trust you."
Taylor's eyes widened a little, she'd obviously not expected him to say yes quite so easily, but she didn't miss a beat all the same, taking a step closer to Kris. "In that case... Close your eyes."
Kris hesitated, heart beating faster than before, but did as she asked, closing his eyes and forcing himself to relax.
"It's alright, I'm not going to try anything like that." Taylor's voice contained a smile, and Kris felt a little calmer. He then felt the soft touch of her hand on his forehead.
Despite his closed eyes, he saw a brilliant white light, and felt his entire conciousness being... lifted? Moved? No words could seem to describe it with justice, but Kris felt himself being somehow pulled from the roof... In fact, he felt like he was being pulled from this world entirely...

And as the blinding light faded, Kris began to see something...
