there has been many reported cases of people basically turning guy due to, usually bad, experiences with opposite gender partners or accidents.Although it may not be to the same effect as if born gay. It seems they do genuinly love the same-sex person even though once, they could not. I honestly don't know though, i'm.straight but i've known a few people who have turned bi or gay, from past experiences. I do not know how they acctually felt about same gender though, i could have been a friend kind of love and they needed the support. ?
Those stories are actually true. People who just switch their orientation to escape some sort of trauma. There are also people who "outgrow" a certain orientation. I don't think someone's orientation is a definite thing since there are so many factors in love that go beyond gender.
Watched a documentary on asexual people very interesting. Dont think i could go without doing the dirty
Lol it's hard to imagine but sometimes it's not so hard. I just feel bad cause the naughty is something that's so ingrained in our culture that to be asexual can't be easy
I've been in a romantic relationship with an asexual person she was my first girlfriend and we were both freshman. I'd say the emotional connection we had because she was ace was one that takes longer for people -in a relationship which is both romantic and sexual- to build. We're friends now and it's surprisingly not awkward ? we just have a deeper understanding of each other now
the Nature vs Nurture debate is an ongoing thing in psychology. It's about how much of human behaviour can be attributed to either biological or environmental factors. I think sexual orientation is a pretty good example of the debate. It could be either or both a genetic disposition for preferring a certain gender, or due to environmental circumstances like taboo or trauma, etc.. In either case, it's 2014, the world is a smaller place due to technological advances, and we can learn anything and everything with a couple of taps on our devices. With that ability, you'd think people would be more attuned to others. The same discrimination of the past century shouldn't still exist
