nah. This is internet we should be allowed to express our thoughts. People who take offense to such things, shouldn't have internet.
The idea that people shouldn't be offended by something off the internet is something I disagree with. I think every regular internet user has been offended in some way in the internet. It's not good to be too sensitive to things but that applies everywhere else too.
well my comment was a little to wide. Obviously if someone picks on your for race/gender/sexial orientation ext or something very personal to you then if course it would upset you. But what my comment is related to is when a player says something that does not effect your rl, e.g calls you a party fairy. Then the party fairy gets mighty upset over it. That is just stupid, im a party fairy and idgaf if people say i am or not, irs just pushing buttons. Also things like direct comments from trolls like 'you touch little kids' yes its a horrible example and a horrible thing to say but obviously the troll doesn't know you, and is pulling any shit upto make you mad. When that offends you, its time to quit in my opinion.
As long as it's not attacking the person/trying to be hurtful or can be seen as offensive to any religion, race, etc. I think anything goes. People should be able to express their opinion without having to filter themselves. If people disagree or overreact, that's their problem.
My opinion is these mods have some sense of entitlement that we should have their opinions imposed upon us.. That little volunteer badge Ata gave you has gone to your head and all your little boot lickers that worship you for no reason make your ego big for no reason.
HOWEVER, let's expand the question a bit further Nick! What if something said on the internet towards someone, resulted in their own death? That's the only thing I "fear" ... That someone would take something so personally, like what fly said... Calling someone a harmless phase such as a "dancing fairy" ... And it affects them so mch they commit suicide. Then I would feel awful LOL. But, I mainly think they'd have to have other stressors in their real life to push them that far, and maybe that was the last straw so to speak. Man, the internet is a strange place.
I think the reason so many people come off more mean or rude online then they would in rl is because they are disconnected… meaning they dont really know the person they are being rude or mean to There is a real person on the other end of these conversations and the likelihood is you don't know what their life is like… so think about that before being rude, mean or disrespectful to someone over a game
As long as people have their humanity with them wherever they are I think it's all good. That's what worries me pickles I mean if it was something that simple to drive someone to commit suicide then it isn't your fault but if was a bunch of people continuously harassing someone then it's a different story.
I don't gave a shit. It's a forum. It's online. It's virtual. I should be irrelevant. Make it stay that way. I'm mean
Let's all get in our time machines and give the answer to this question as it was clearly known to be before the party invasion. It's a war game. Get over it.
Ehh the same way things take a turn for the worse it can be the opposite as well. The days of good warring aren't necessarily over!
The keywords there would be… "its a game" Games are suppose to be fun And just because it includes wars doesn't mean anything
Seems people will say or do anything to appear 'badass 'in the eyes of the people here.. If they were on the receiving end of the constant criticism and alienation they dished out, pretty sure this "it doesn't affect me" response we're seeing wouldn't apply. There's no need for a response that is nasty, and it's only getting worse. People should find alternative methods to vent off their life miseries
