  1. They scrape as much money as they can. And for what? MPs just abuse it and claim every pot they can. It's bull. UK is going through a money crisis and government are leeching even more money. Wtf 

  2. Bedroom tax applies to council houses (social housing). The idea behind it is that there isn't enough social housing (we're a small island remember) and so we can't build infinitely and the idea was that people would get a council house when they were in need then eventually buy a house. What happened was that people lived in a council house forever as it's much cheaper so there's now lots of single people who have adult children who have moved on living in 3 bedroomed homes. Now new families are trying to get council homes and can't because there aren't any as they're occupied by people who don't need all the space and won't move. The extra bedroom tax was designed to encourage people to downsize and free up accommodation for those who actually really need it and are living in overcrowded conditions. Currently the government are paying a lot to house families in privately rented housing that is big enough or people are crammed in like sardines. There is actually some logic behind it rather than evil bloody Tories being mean

  3.  Ok it makes sense put that way. TV tax is still a steamy load of shit though.

  4. If mortgages were not so ludicrous people wouldn't need to stay in a council house forever.

  5. If people got a fucking job they wouldn't have to stay in council houses forever

  6. If people built houses out of mud and sticks they wouldn't need a job forever.

  7. Yeah there's too many freeloaders here

  8. There is no point owning a gun here. You might be tempted to shoot the burglar in your house then you'll get jailed for it.

  9. Mortgages aren't ludicrous. We pay less than £500 a month for a 3 bedroomed semi with garage, front and back gardens and conservatory in a nice area

  10. And we bought at the peak of the housing boom. I commute and hour and a half each way to work as there's not much here job wise but you can't have it all lol

  11. Depends how much equity you have on your house casper. I used to pay £730 for a 2 bedroom semi detached and 40% equity.

  12. We have 23% they told us

  13. You are not allowed to stop a burglar unless he attacks you

I personally find That fucked up?

That means now every two hits on the burglar I gotta thump myself? effort is effort ?

  14. But to be honest I don't really understand it ?

  15. It also depends where you live. The more expensive your house is the higher the mortgage you have to pay. A 3 bedroom semi detached in our area cost between 200-250k.

  16. Melon, have you heard about the guy who was jailed because he chased the intruders outside his home? His family went through a violent ordeal, they were all tied up and the father was violently attacked. They somehow managed to escape and chased the intruders and shot one of them. The father, who was one of the victim was jailed.
