I have a question? Do you have a salary over the job as a waitress? I don't know how it works in your country, but in some countries waitresses do have a salary. At the end of the month they earn the money for they job, like other people with other kind of jobs. What I am trying to say is: I do agree to tip well the waitresses for their job if that is the way of getting money at the end of the month. If the waitress was competent and made the client feel good, then the tip should be even higher than 10/20%. However, if the waitresses have already a salary for their work, then why should the client give tips? I don't see other professions getting tips after the work is done. They earn their salary and that's it... I don't see an architect getting 10% tip after designing a house or a doctor getting anything extra but a "thank you" after a consultation. They have a salary at the end of the month for their job and that's it. So if a waitress has a salary as well, then why should have tips?
We get 4.64 an hour. Which is better than some places. However, their business is tanking because it's in a bad/ not busy area.
