Thoughts on Obama?

  1. America is thaaa GREATEST!

  2. @Jax

Yeah sure, but I don't spend time arguing about it on somewhere like here where it's not even the slightest bit productive. 

Maybe I am just a moron lol, but that's my thinking.

  3. Ok, I've tried to stay out of it bc DeadlySpankingAngel is a friend...and this doesn't change that....

    BUT...
Any of you anti-Obama ppl that bring up Martial Law and say he's going to take over America need to turn off FOX news, get off the Tea Party websites and come back to reality. You can't seriously believe that this guy is that evil. You think he's going to try to take over the country and become some kind of power hungry dictator? It's just an asinine idea. What makes people think he's so consumed by power and determined to find a way to get a stranglehold on the US? Is it because he effectively ended the war in Iraq? Or that he has continuously tried to bring US troops back to America from foreign disputes/wars? Yeah, that's what a power hungry dictator usually does ? those kind of leaders are notorious for lessening the role of the military....

Has he been a perfect president? No, not by a long shot. But do I feel better about the US than I did when he took over in 2008? You better believe it. He passed the healthcare reform which, of course, has it's imperfections. But it is a movement in the right direction toward a universal healthcare plan that will give all American citizens affordable healthcare. He passed the stimulus that has created millions of jobs, taken measures to prevent another housing crisis like the one seen in 2008, turned around the US auto industry, and strengthened the US education system by offering grants to encourage state level education reform and banned banks from offering student loans to college students and instead offering loans through federal funding.

Say what you want about him, but he has been an effective president. All of the crazy conspiracy theories aside, I'm glad I voted for him...twice!

  4. I have to say when people say Obama forced us into a shit health care system it makes me angry. Are people ignorant or just to lazy to even read up on what they are talking about. My family is lucky that they have a employer that gives health care, but I can tell you as a fact that with out health care from your employer you are screw when you get sick. Health care in its self is super expensive and most of the time has so many fine print clause that you aren't even covered well enough to pay for anything over 20k.
Trust me when I say one day you will get sick. My mother had gallbladder stones this year. The operation is simple and the hospital stay is 3 days. The bill cost $18,000. Now image cancer.
My family is also lucky that we have many relatives in Germany and we visit frequently. Right now infact I'm in Germany. Why? I'm here because while I was here (before my flight home) I started getting head aches. I went to the hospital and it turned out I had ruptured a blood vessel between my skull and brain. The blood was pushing on my brain, thus the head ache. For this operation I 2 holes drilled in my skull. Had 14 day hospital stay. The cost €6000. I asked my doctor back at home when I sent him copies of the op and he said the price in the USA would have been between 60,000 and 180,000. For a German citizen there mandatory state health care would have payed for the op 100%. As for the USA health care system, you would have to hope to god you got a good health care or sale your house and live I debt for the rest of your life. Don't tell me the bs that here in Germany you would have to wait in line for your surgery. I can tell you from personal experience that it's not true, but I can also tell you if you don't have the cash to pay for you surgery in the USA well then you better hope you just get better.
Also in the "Obamacare bill" (which I bet you can't tell me the real name of it) the was a part that stopped insurance companies from dropping or turning you down because you got sick. I would say that's a good thing. Lastly did you know as president, Obama had no actual direct say in what was in the bill, if it passes, or even if it is ever proposed. Rant over️

  5. Yet you came back hours later to reply

    Logic

  6. * He does directly effect if the bill pass when he signs it. But that is the only time he can directly effect the bill, but even then he can change anything on the bill.

  7. I hate obama hes letting people come here illgeally and letting them get citizenship, hes ruining the health care system and makeibg more like canada IMPEACH OBAMA!!'

  8. Yes because I canada people can't pay for there health care and thousands of people die each year for it. Also thousands of people go brankrupt for there health care bills. Oh and it's all Obama's fault that ours is becoming like theres. *sarcasm

  9. charging ppl an arm and a leg for health insurance yet makes it unaffordiable

  10. Did you just get health care cause I can tell you it was just as expensive before.

  11. I have to admit that health care still is bad in the USA, but at least it was a start towards change.

  12. Yea but on top of that ppl are gonna start being penalized for not having health coverage youre fucked either way

  13. Well if you have to penalize someone to get them to get a way to pay for their health care then I wouldnt say it's a bad thing.

  14. You get penalize when you're 27. Before then you can still be covered by your parents health insurance.

  15. How about impeaching a Congress that approved $600B for an unjust War but cutoff unemployment benefits to millions of Americans who earned it. Just my thoughts

  16. Funny thing is congress has a horrificly low aprovel rate but over 80% re-election rate. All of congress is bud except my congress men/women
