Naomi Epic had decided to wrap up for the day. "Safety comes first Nay. You know that." he sternly reminded me while stuffing the equipment in the back of the van. I rolled my eyes. Epic was my older brother, and after the parents died, he took the role of the parent. And though I often disagree with him, whatever he says goes - that was the silent rule in the family. "So, we're just going to go? To move?" I retaliated. "Yes. We'll move to the next location, settle there and make the climb..." "But we have yet to conquer this rock!" "This place is done. We are going to go! No questions asked!" Epic snapped. I cussed under my breath and walked over to help Jodiiee pack up. "It's not your fault." Jodiiee said as I approached. "You could tell?" "I know that face when I see it." "Well, he's being unreasonable!" "And you need to stop being so difficult... You know his priority is our safety. If he senses a potential danger, he'll protect us." I kept silent. I knew she was right. But I still wasn't happy about it. I bent down and unpicked the tent. "By the way, have you seen the strange girl? She seems to have disappeared." I asked. "I haven't noticed. She hasn't been snooping around too much, so I didn't pay much attention to her." Jodiiee replied. Josh walked over. "Hello girls, thought I'd come over and help, since E and I are done with our side." "How sweet Josh. Could you help me bring our bags to the truck? Thanks babe." Jodiiee smiled and leaned in to give Josh a kiss on his cheek. "What?! Only on the cheek?" Josh joked as he grabbed the bags and gave Jodiiee a quick kiss. "Hi. Naomi, right?" I turned to face the voice. It was the strange girl. "Oh. You're still here? And... With anothe-" "Yes. Naomi, Apoc Jo Apoc" she introduced with the same strange accent." Before I could properly react to what she was telling me, she explained that she found him in the trees, and that he apparently fell off a cliff, and he stood before me with no cuts nor bruises. "Umm..." I was at an utter loss for words. Thankfully, Jodiiee cut in. "Where are you two from?" "Nearby..." the boy called Apoc replied. "Yes. Nearby." the girl agreed. "Alright then, can we give you a lift home to where you live? Back to your families?" The two of them looked a little confused, and worried. Jodiiee and I exchanged glances. Who were these people? And where did they come from?
BELLA "um we don't live here?" I asked hopefully they wouldn't ask questions. "ya" agreed apoc. "well that's strange" epic said. " I guess you'll be leaving soon" I said rolling my eyes "Get away from my sister!" epic yelled at me pushing me to the ground. "wtf is your problem epic" I yelled. I got up and pushed him back, " u don't dare touch me, "I can do things u wouldn't know of" I laughed. He punched me in the stomach breaking his own fist. I screamed when he did that.
