  1. Kylee tilted her head back and laughed, then looked at Avion. "Me? But I'm just a fragile little girl! What help would I be on a dangerous adventure?" she said, making eye contact with Dan at the last part. Dan was not happy with this girl. She didn't take anything seriously.
"Well, you must have some unique skills. Everyone does," Avion said, trying to coax her more.
"Well, I can do one thing other than save heroes..." she said with a wink. "Please, do tell," Avion replied.
"I'd rather show you," Kylee answered. The next instant, there was a a tremendous bang, and the vase on the counter shattered, and in the wall behind it was a hole with a rounded and slightly dented metal ball smashed in.
Avion had fallen off the bed in surprise. He got up and looked at Kylee, who just smiled. Then he looked at Dan, who was staring at the hole, unmoving, with his jaw slack.

"What the...? How did you...?" Avion tried to ask. Kylee pulled back her cloak to reveal a flintlock pistol hanging from a leather strap around her waist.
"It was my dads, before he was killed. I've practiced my whole life and I think I might be good at it," she explained.
"You seem to be! That was incredibly fast!" Avion exclaimed. "Even I couldn't follow it," Dan said in reply, seeming to have recovered from his prior state of surprise. Avion turned toward him and gave him a look that said, Really? Even you?, and Dan nodded. Avion turned back to Kylee.
"Well, all I know is that we would love to have you come with us on our journey. I have a feeling your skills could be quite useful. So, I ask you one more time, will you accompany us?"

  2. Cool update, but I shoot arrows faster because Elves are just better

  3. Trust me, your guy is the bomb. We just haven't gotten to his main part

  4. Update coming within a few hours. Oh and if you read the story, please comment and leave opinions 

  5. Kylee hesitated, but then broke into a smile.

"It's quite hard for me to turn down a prince that has asked me join him on a journey. Especially one as handsome as you," she said with a wink.

Avion blushed a little bit, but tried to hide it by getting up quickly. He stumbled a bit, but was well enough now that he could stand.

"Alright, that settles it. Let's get Fletch and Etzin and head for the mountain pass. It should lead us into the canyon where Hadrius is supposed to be trapped," Avion said commandingly. Danny and Kylee gathered their belongings and headed downstairs, where there was a full out free for all taking place. Dodging beer and flying men, they found Fletch, who was sitting in the corner, watching, and Etzin, who was taking on half the bar at once, and, somehow, winning. Of course, it did help that he was in a drunken rage.

"Do ye all want a pieshe o' the mighty Etshin the dwarf? Come and get it then, laddiesh!" he yelled, foaming a little at the mouth. It took all four of them to drag him out the door, kicking and yelling in his hazed state.

  6. Sorry its short, but I'm really tired and trying to keep an idea for another story in my head

  7. Haha nice update

  8. The group of five made there way to the gates of the town. Fully stocked on supplies and gear, they were ready to move on through the mountains and make the next leg of the journey. Etzin was finally sober, and was raring to go. He could barely keep from jumping up and down on his horse. Fletch, as usual, was patiently waiting for the others in his always quiet nature. Danny was finishing up sharpening his twin daggers when Avion and Kylee met them at the gate.

"Now where've you two been, Eh? I told ya ta be here at the third bell!" Etzin said, slightly irritated.

"We got sidetracked," Avion replied, giving him a sly smile. Kylee blushed, even though she knew he was only jesting.

"Well, let's not waste anymore daylight. The mountains await!" Etzin said excitedly. He, Dan, and Fletch all mounted their horses and turned to leave. Avion and Kylee had to share a horse. Neither of them seemed to mind, although the horse wasn't too excited about the idea. They mounted up and started to follow the others.

"Are you ready for a real journey?" Avion asked her.

"I think I can take care of myself, hero,"she said sarcastically, smiling slightly at Avion.

"We will have to see about that," he said in a skeptical tone.

"Don't worry, you will eventually," she chirped back. With that, she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, turned around, and whipped the reins. The horse shot forward, and a surprised Avion fell backward. Quickly recovering from his momentary daze, he ran after her and the others, toward the adventure that awaited them.

    The end of part 1

  9. I have no idea what to write next, and so I'm stopping this part but I plan on continuing it when I get some ideas.

  10. Should I use this as a short story for my English class?
