the long war

After I kill the enemy scouts I see that it is now morning. With a sigh of relief I watch as a red sun rises in the east. Suddenly I notice someone sit next to me.

"Fox your suppose to be asleep."

She laughs "I like watching the sunrise. Its always so peaceful."

We sit there together watching the sunrise for 10 minutes. Then I look and realize that there must be 100's of dead enemy soldiers scattered around outside the farmhouse.

"Hey everyone wake up we need more ammo so I need 3 volunteers to go out and collect it from the enemy dead bodies."

Nicks, Kinzie, and Mcdonald volunteer. I said Nicks to the east and have Ceña cover him from the farmhouse, Fox covers Kinzie as she goes and collects ammo from the south. Mcdonald goes to the north as I cover him.

 

Ill update in an hour

 

After about 2 more hours everyone comes back with all the supplies and ammo off the dead enemy soldiers. When Mcdonald comes back he says "Hey Lt. I found enemy plans on one of them. It shows that we are in the middle of a enemy battalions training area."

"How many soldiers?"

"Well Lt. Umm it says they have over 2500 soldiers. And that they have orders to kill us on sight."

 

Ill do a longer update in 2 hours.

 

I look at him. "Did you say 2500? Holy crap. That's not good. How much ammo did you collect?"

Mcdonald looks and says "Well lets see. We got 3000 rounds of ammo for the enemies AK-74, 2000 rounds for QBZ-07, and we found 50 grenades. All that off of 450 enemy soldiers."

I do the math "Ok that means we have 2050 enemy soldiers left to kill or wound enough that they can't fight."

Suddenly the platoon radio starts going off saying "1st platoon of the 34th come in this is Sidewalk over."

I ran to the radio "This is Boardwalk. I read you loud and clear Sidewalk. Thank god you guys got a hold of us. We need a evacuate asap. Over"

"Ok ok Boardwalk what is your situation over."

"Sidewalk we have 37 KIA's, 10 WIA, and we have only 7 men that can fight. Thats out situation. We ran into a goddamned ambush. Get us out now."

"Ok just give us your location and we will send a evac. Also we lost contact with 2nd Platoon. Have you heard from them."

"Yes they have been wiped out as well. Four of there only surviving members rallied up with us. We lost one last night. Our location is the old farmhouse 20 klicks east of base."

Suddenly the enemy is upon us. I yell into the radio. "We're taking heavy fire we need evac now!!!!!"

Then I look around. "Renegade you stay down here and bring the rest of us ammo. Fox you and me will cover the South, Kinzie you and Mcdonald on the north, Ceña you and Nicks to the east... Move it."

"Boardwalk come in. Over"

"Jesus Christ what Sidewalk?".

"We have 3 platoons of the 101st Airborne in route to your location. Eta is 1 hour over."

"We don't have a hour."

 

"Well try holding out boardwalk."

"Whatever sidewalk. Boardwalk out"

Me and Fox run to the south wall and start fighting.

"Fox you cover left i'll cover right. "

 

For the next half hour the fighting wages on. Waves after wave of enemy soldiers come at us in 2 minutes intervals. Renegade running ammo back and worth to everyone. Suddenly the radio starts going off.

"Boardwalk this is Skywalk come in."

I bolt down the stairs to the radio.

"Skywalk this is boardwalk. Over "

"Boardwalk we are in bound to your location. Eta is 45 minutes over."

"45 MINUTES!!!!!. Are you crazy. Were under attack from an entire enemy battalion. We don't have 45 minutes. We could be dead any second."

Suddenly McDonald is hit. "Oh god I'm hit."

Kinzie looks down at him and sees he is hit in the neck. "Medic!!!! I need a medic now he is hit bad."


Renegade starts running up the stairs "I'm on my way Kinzie"

Renegade and Kinzie bring McDonald down by the other wounded.

I look at Kinzie "Go back up there and kick some butt. Renegade try to stop that bleeding. Ceña join Kinzie on the east wall. Nicks keep the north wall protected. "

Suddenly skywalk. Comes back on the radio"Boardwalk we are proceeding to your location on foot over. "

"On foot. What happened to your helos? "

"They got shot down. You guys really pissed off the enemy. "

"No crap skywalk. Now hurry.the hell up.""

(Will Beccue and the rest of the group survive. Will skywalk and his group get to Beccue and them before its too late. All these questions and more to be answered in the next installment. Look for it at 9:30 tomorrow morning central time)

 

Lol. Ok I'll update in two hours that sound better

 

"Boardwalk we are moving as fast we can. We are meeting heavy resistance as well. We will rally up with you as soon as possible over and out."

"God damnit. Ok"

I run back up to the south wall just as two enemy waves come in. Fox looks at me "This is getting worse every second."

"I know Fox but we got to keep fighting back otherwise we are screwed."

Suddenly Ceña is hit. Kinzie starts yelling "Medic. Ceña is hit. "

Renegade runs towards Ceña "Were you hi oh " She says when she sees the bullet wound that has just gone through Ceña's head.

I look around and say "ok Nicks and Kinzie stay where you are. Fox you stay here. Renegade your in charge. I'm gonna go and find Skywalk. They should be coming from the west."

Fox looks at me.and says "if you die I'm slapping you for making me fall for you."

I smile. "Well looks like I'll have to live now wont I."

I run down to the west side of the farmhouse and jump out the window. Its a 25 ft drop into a big pile of hay.

(Does Beccue find Skywalk. Will Fox and Beccue start dating of they live. All that and more answered tomorrow at 9:30 am central time)

 

I land hard on the hay pile. Lucky no enemy soldiers saw me. I ran into the woods a couple feet from the farmhouse and start heading towards Skywalks position. I take out my kbar knife and start sneaking passed enemy troops.

After walking for 20 minutes I hear sounds of a firefight. I've found skywalk as I think to myself as I start slicing enemy troops from behind to clear a path for myself to Skywalks position. I get on my radio and say "skywalk this is boardwalk I'm about 100 ft west of your position. Over"

"I heat you boardwalk. Can you pop a red smoke to confirm your location?"

"Yes will do skywaln"I grab a red smoke grenade and put on the ground to feet in front of me.

 

As the smoke starts rise Skywalk says "holy crap your not joking you are close. Look to your left. "

I look and see a American soldier looking at me and laughing. I stare "Dude grab your men and lets get back to my where me and my group were at."

"Roger that. Troops follow boardwalk lets go. "

We start running back to the farmhouse. Me and about 125 members of the 201dt

 

(Sorry that what was a accident lol) and the 101st airborne. 10 minutes later we get half way to the farmhouse. Skywalk says "dude can we stop I'm already tired."

"Not a chance you panzies. Keep running. "

15 minutes later we get to the farmhouse clearing. And not a minute to late. The enemy is starting their final assualt on the farmhouse. I see a ladder next to the west window and cuss under my breath saying "really how the F@#$ did I not see that there"

 

I start climbing up the ladder. When I get to the top I yell "Fox I'm back and I brought about 125 friends"

Fox runs to the window. "Oh thank god. Their sending all their troops at us."

I get in the window then start helping the reinforcements through the window. I'm yelling orders"ok all medics head downstairs. I want troops at every window. Move it. Hustle soldiers. "

Fox looks at me "while you were gone Renegade got hit in the leg. She is fine though. It didn't hit anything important."

Off in the distance I hear a pissed off Renegade yell "nothing important my ass."

I laugh " Renegade your fine now. Just keep feeling our men. "

"What ever Joe."

Fox laughs "So about that evac. When is it coming?"

"Wish I knew."
