Mel's Review Station Story: The Idle Promise. Written by: thateonemerchant-ZacharieTumblr Extra Information: Best romantic story I've read in a while. Originality~ The closet thing I have read to something like this would be Frankenstein, this story mixes horror with a mess up relationship extremely well. The main idea of is, the girl who loves the guy who cuts up human bodies and transforms her to look more beautiful. Is the girl insane for loving him? I mean what more do you want from a good horror story, it has gruesome and passion all in one. Interest~ It came and went throughout the chapters because of the sense of rushing making the sentences confusing and hard to understand sometimes. Even though if this story has some fillers, which is good if done well. The writer did give us some background information on how these two ended up which a enjoyed. Characters~ Brenden or 'B' as she is called by Felix her love interest, has to deal with Felix's quirk in that he cuts up human bodies and modifies others. She has to deal with the question of 'am I insane?' Which brings about a great character turning point, Felix though we don't really know why he is like that. That's what makes me keep reading because I want to find out why he is so cool! Grammar~ There are typos and errors in each chapter but not a lot so it doesn't distracted from the actual story. Try not using 'and' all the time for new sentences because it can get a bit gritty but that is just me. I must applaud you for trying to use BB codes even though they don't always work, it's good to have a try. I'm not even brave enough to try myself cause I'll defiantly stuff it up. Summary Review~ Sincerely recommended for people who enjoy horror stories because this one is done well, also if you enjoy a bit of romance but not over the top this gives a nice spin on the usual girl x boy relationship. ~Thank you for letting me review it~
Wow. RedTiger person. Whatever the hell kind of stick up your ass needs to be checked out, you have quite the attitude problem. Instead of posting all sorts of negativity on people's stories, use that energy of yours for something nice. Long story short; stop being a bitter douchebag and kindly go fuck yourself.
Yeah so I started playing a while ago I've made a lot of friends and long story short it's been pretty fun. I quit for a while but then I decided to come back and long story short here I am.
Well then here you are, but it's not like anyone likes you being here criticizing a good story. Your story vS. The Idle Promise, the outcome is this story is better just please get over it and go to some off topic thread because no one needs negativity around here.
Yeah… all of that stuff you just spewed out randomly. We didn't ask for any of that information at all. Cool story. Welcome back. Spend your time on another thread.
Goodness Pie wifey and Cin I honestly lack the patience for this guy anymore Anyway after a bad couple of days I'm going to try and update again, it hasn't been easy with psychiatry school all up in my face. Hopefully I can get one in today or tomorrow.
Cries I'm sorry Chapter nine: To Observe and impress, my dear Watson. My eyes twinkled a bit with excitement as we pulled into the garage. So I was finally able to do something with Felix that made me feel helpful, like-like.. I was needed. "Alrighty B, I'm going to need you to grab the doors and stuff for me, and then I'll show you how to get ready." I had a smile plastered on my face, as well as he. We had the smiles of...of the people I couldn't recognize. The smiles of monsters, or strangers, but we were too perfect to see that. Felix and I were far too perfect to be monsters. We were doing common deeds, like Sweeney Todd and Mrs.Lovett. Although he would never kill me, he made sure I wouldn't get in trouble. I did the same, and that was that. I jumped out of the car, grabbing the keys and unlocking the trunk for Felix. I opened the door, and stepped behind it to allow him more access as he stepped inside. I skipped inside, setting the keys on the kitchen counter. His house still smelled of cleaner, which I enjoyed. It was the scent of never getting caught, and being with this boy forever without being separated by metal bars, doors, walls, or just anything. We were the mad and perfectly normal. Just like everyone else. We just had a dirty little secret, just like everyone. Everyone has one, and this was it. It wasn't harmful to anyone unless it was you we were taking care of, then yeah. It's harmful to your life and everything you own and have pride for. As Felix walked down the stairs, to the basement, I flipped on the light switch, and I pulled my sleeves up. He took out a pocket knife and cut both of the bags open. He tossed the wrench and the plastic to me, and I wiped the blood off them with the bit of cleaner he magically had stored in his basement. I set them to dry, and they were spotless. We opened the bag with the body in it, and he gave it to me to put in the trash. I tilted my head, tossing it away. "What if they go through your trash?" "They don't," he responded, setting the body on a metal table. "I toss my trash in the incinerator." "Ooh, very clever." I swooned, leaning on his shoulder as we both looked at her. "B dearie, can you go through the body for things we could find kinda useful for stuff?" "Like what?" He shrugged as I looked down at the lifeless woman, a small giggle rising in my throat. "Possibly anything of value, you know. Gold and such, anything that could be sold in a garage sale. Anything we might be able to wash and preserve." "Oh, alright." He stepped elsewhere, behind me and began to set something up. I slipped her shoes off, they were spotless. I laughed a bit, setting them beside me. He glanced back at me, still setting whatever it was up. "What was that for?" I was laughing a bit more now, taking things out of her pockets. Paper clips, a pen, her golden watch. I took the ring off her finger–opposite of her ring finger–and set it aside. Felix reached for it, and I shrugged it off. "I was just laughing because we share the same shoe size. I think I'll be taking her heels, Felix." He didn't respond. It was maybe ten or fifteen minutes of silence as I stripped the body to undergarments, things sorted in piles. "Hey Brenden, I want to uh, talk to you." I turned around and he grabbed my hand, tugging me up the stairs. My face was covered in confusion, his face rising with concern. What was so important? "Okay Brenden," he began, sitting down beside me on the couch. His face was kinda red, but that always happens when he's about to cry, or he's frustrated, or nervous. Wait, why would he-"I want you to move in with me." I blinked, looking down at our hands. "You...what?" "Brenden Kenzie, I want you to move in with me." I felt my face flush a dark pink, putting a hand to my cheek. He smiled, not a psycho smile, an actual smile of hoping I'd say yes. I'd never say no, ever. "Oh my... Why I don't know.." His face fell to disappointment, but altered as he looked at my eyes. My eyes twinkled with a changing answer. "But I guess.. I'll say.. YES!" I squealed, hugging him. His face exposed happiness, joy, just every emotion that exists! If I could describe his facial expression I would need days to do so! Just a simple smile could not describe his face. "Brenden! Do you know what you've done?" "Huh?" "Made me the happiest, doctor slash boy in the entire world!" I squealed, cupping his cheeks in my hand,"Really?" "Yes!" He kissed my forehead several times, picking me up. "Well Watson, let's go do our first assignment together!" I giggled, taking his hand, and tugging him down to the basement. "Felix, I have a great idea." "What is it, B-Bear?" "What if we could find away to make them dolls?" "What?" "Dolls, Felix. Like actually toy dolls." "Oh my.. Amazing." "What?" "Your mind is brilliant, my dear Watson." I giggled, blushing a bit. "You know what? We'll attempt to make a doll, with this body. I have the right fingers, and a different eye would be rad!" "How about very soon? You've observed well, and impressed me with your ideas, brilliant ideas.."
I am absolutely awed at how well-written this is! I am usually not into horror, since I do get scared very easily, but this sort of a horror romance kind of thing makes it so interesting! The details are great, the character development is great, and the plot is amazing .
