  1. No offense here, I just wanna know, how does dumping a bucket of ice on yourself help with ALS?

  2. 800% what da heck ? Isn't it like 1-100 range on percentages where the hell did they get 800% from

  3. It means 8x times more. Like, $2k to $16k, $3k to $24k.

Sorry, I don't English but Sir/Ma'am, do you Maths?

  4. I think my calculations might wrong, too.

  5. Satire, it doesn't 'directly' help. It's something fun that gets people's attention, which in turn gives their attention to ALS. More attention means more money to help research it.

  6. Good cause to support hope one day there is a cure or at least some relief for those whom suffer. Maybe one day the disease can be gone forever. I challenge everyone that reads this thread to donate to this and other good charities rather then waste money. Do something good for someone else. And maybe one day diseases will never effect anyone again. Who knows it could happen 

  7. Well done on creating a very informative and helpful thread. Hopefully this thread inspire people to go send their money to a very worthy charity. I will end my post by telling everybody what the ice bucket challenge has made me realised: All of my friends have a garden.

  11. Ah, I understand. Well, medicine is improving. We've only just begun with modern technology so I'm sure it will go a long way soon.

  12. We can hope! The disease has been around for over 100 years and the fact that it's gotten so much attention is amazing!!!

ALS research has skyrocketed to over 50 million dollars 
