"Where am I?" I said aloud, my voice echoing.

Could demons die and be sent to hell? Or an I doomed to spend all eternity in darkness alone?!

I started panicking and ran until I fell off a ledge and I could see the ground coming at me so fast and I just closed my eyes and waited for it to be over.

But the bone crushing impact never came. I opened one of my eyes and parted two finger so I could see the ground below me. I reached down and poked the ground and ended up falling to earth and I wished I could hover again because that was a cool feeling.

I started walking but I never knew where I was going because things changed when I blinked. One minute I was walking across a basketball court, the next I'm in a classroom walking towards the door. Eventually, after what seems like days, almost weeks, possibly months, and maybe even years of walking I come go a lake and I cup my hands and dip them in the water.

The water is crystal clear— and it looks so very refreshing —so I bring the makeshift cup to my lips and gulp down the water but immediately spit it out.

It tasted of toxins and gas and oil. I put my arm in the water and pulled it back out after a few seconds. My arm was covered in a disgusting tar that is slimy and runny and it doesn't come off.

I walk around the edge of he massive lake and see a boat after some time of walking.

I step in the boat and see where I can go other than just the other side. I blink and a huge island appears and a mad in my hand. A map to go find your destiny.

I open the map and a piece of paper falls out and it reads:

Go to the island. The island is a magic island. Things do not change there. You will meet your new destiny OR you will be reincarnated as a new person.
    Begin your journey.

I put the map down on the seat next to me and begin rowing the boat over to the island.

    -—Kyle

"Mum!? Mum! Please! No! Come back! Tessa needs you! Kalona! Kalona help me!" I yell, panicking about my mother's soul being torn. I only have seven days to get her back or she's a goner.

I pick my mother up and begin walking down the hall, looking at her face. She looks like a seventeen year old. And she's smaller. I look up from the noise of foot steps running down the hall and see Tessa following Kalona down the hall.

"What's wrong?" Kalona asked, still a bit weak from getting his body back and from traveling to different bodies.

"Her soul... It's torn. We gotta help her Kalona! We haveta!" I cried, my voice cracking really bad and my lower lip quivering.

"Mum!" I heard Tessa say, her hands now covering her mouth and tears in her eyes. Kalona holds is arms out and I hand my mother over and go comfort my sister.

This has all been way to much for her. She's only fifteen. Well she's older than when it happened to me. I was only a little boy.

I wrap my arms around my sister and she hugs me close, crying into my shoulder.

"What I'd we don't save her in time?" she asked, muffled by my shirt.

"No 'what if's'." I said, grabbing her shoulders and pushing her away so she can see my face. "I mean it. Things are already too depressing."

She just nods and hugs me close again.

How fast can an immortal fall in love? Is there really love at first sight? I believe there is.

Love is what you make it. Not what you want it. You have go work for love. Love makes most peoples hearts keep beating so they say.

When I first saw Tess after Darker's spell had vanished I knew I would do anything and everything for her. And when I saw that her would was torn, it felt like my soul, its self, was torn.

How do you fix a torn soul? True loves first kiss? No. I believe in love at first sight but not fairytales and fantasies. You fix it by caring for them or going into the In Between and showing your love. But there's always the chance that both of you can come back. One of you can come back. Or none.

You can die trying to escapee the In Between. There's a woman who rules all of the In Between. And she chooses your next destiny.

The In Between is the place where you go when your sentence is undecided. No one knows what he'll looks like because no one lives to tell what it looks like. But many people know what heaven looks like.
I asked my self all of that. And I taught my self all of that as I walked down the hallway with the fragile shell of the mortal I'm newly in love with, in my arms.

I knew it's against the laws to love mortals but I'm a major law breaker.

I go into the room that was "mine" when I was a little kid and I put her on the bed.

The kids sit on the couch and I look at them. "i don't know how to save her, Kyle." I said. Tears forming in my eyes.

Kyle instantly had a look of pure hatred and anger on his face and he marched up to me and grabbed me by the neck of my shirt. "Let. Go." I said through gritted teeth. "Never," He said, pulling tighter.

"Do not make me upset, things could get very ugly." I said.

I don't know what happened or why it did but everything happens for a reason I guess.

I had fallen from somewhere and I don't know where I am. This place was beautiful though.

I was in some sort of grove and it was full of life and sounds. Sounds of nature that seemed so real, but I knew this wasn't real.

I got up from the moss covered ground slowly and looked around. There was a stream near by so I followed the faint sound of running water.

I let my hand trail along the trunks of the trees and felt the different kinds of moss, a new one affecting my attention each time. As I passed by one tree, something in the distance caught my attention.

I walked off the path to the stream and started walking towards what had caught my attention, still letting my hands trail along the trunks.

"Turn back," someone said, causing me to jump and look around. I didn't see anyone so I ignored it and kept walking towards the tree.

The tree was beautiful. It had a golden trunk and glowing streaks of aquamarine blue, hot pink, green, and orange. The leaves were silver and diamond.

"Leave, now." the same voice said again. Again I ignored it and walked even closer, leaving the circle of trees and entering the meadow the magnificent tree was in.

As I neared the tree I got butterflies in my stomach and I knew I should've turned back but now I couldn't. I was forced closer to the tree, close enough to touch.

I reached my hand out to touch the tree but I hesitates. I took in a deep breath and barely even put my finger tips on the tree when I was thrown back through the grove, to the spot where I first woke up.

I hit the ground and rolled a few feet before stopping on my back, trying to get air. I took in short, fast breaths and spread my arms out. I laid there for a while before noticing the liquid running down the side of my hip.

I tried sitting up but regretted it because the action made me have a sharp intake of air and a big pain in my stomach. I looked down and saw that I was bleeding from a pretty big hole in my stomach. I looked around to see what could've caused it and saw a short, sharp piece of wood. From a branch maybe?

The wood was covered in blood about a third of the way up and I heard that annoying voice say a soy comment. "I warned you."

"Okay! Just shut up already!" I screamed

"That's not possible," She said, walking out from behind a tree.

I was walking through the island when suddently I was in a forest, watching Tess walk towards a tree.

"Turn back," I said, knowing that the tree was highly dangerous to everyone. Tess ignored me and kept walking.

I told her to turn back once more but she didn't listen and touched the tree, causing her to go flying.

She rolled a couple times and stopped and just laid there. "Could spirits die?" I wondered.

"I told you," I said, when she sat up and noticed her wound.

"Okay! I get it! Just shut up already! She screamed in frustration.

"You know that's not possible," I said, walking out from behind the tree and trying not to laugh at her wide eyes.

She screamed and tried backing up but She ran into a tree. "Relax, jeez. I'm not gonna hurt you. Technically I can't." I said.

She got up and punted to the hole in het stomach, "You can't hurt me?" she asked, a look of disbelieve on her face.

"No, I can't." I said, running my hand right through her arm.

She started to freak out and was about to scream but I stopped her my pulling my shoulders up, reaching my arms out half way, and putting an odd look on my face. "Please don't freak out!" I said quickly.

She held her arm close to her stomach and still looked freaked out but said "I'm not freaking out. Are you freaking out? I'm not, I'm just really interested in..." she stopped mid-ramble and looked behind me.

I looked behind her and almost screamed, but remembered I'm supposed to be the tough one. There was a huge grizzly standing on it's hind legs, huffing air out of it's nose.

Tess took off running but I just stared at the beast. It looked at me and growled in my face.

I didn't move, not once, and the bear backed up into the shadows and returned as a man. Then I screamed and almost passed out but he caught me.

Sure, I was familiar with shapeshifting, I did it all the time but it freaked me out because it was a real live man with a heartbeat and not a spirit.

"You are strong," He said, putting a hand on my shoulder. "I am Tayous. I am the prince of this world, and I'd like to take you to to my mother." He said grabbing my wrist and leading me out of the grove to where Tess was waiting.

"What the **** is going on?" She asked, looking at Tayous then at the almost transparent me.

"I am Tayous. I am prince of the Under world, where lost and torn souls go. I can take you to what you seek." He said, holding his hand out.

Tess took it and Tayous gasped and Tess yanked her hand away.

Then I noticed something, Tess wasn't transparent. But she looked the way I did when I first left her body. She looked sick, really, really sick. Her eyes were hallowed out and had dark bags under them. She was skinny as ****, all skin and bones.

She looked scared. She looked like she was slowly dying in misery.

"What's wrong?" Tayous asked and Tess broke down.

She sat down and cried into her hands and pulled her knees up to her chest.

Tayous looked at me and then the hand he had touched Tess with and looked back at me. I shrugged and he knelt down by Tess.

"What's wrong?" he asked again. Tess took a moment to respond but eventually she said one word.

    "Everything," Tess said, still crying.

"Oh? How so?" Tayous asked, rubbing her back.

"I don't know where I am. I don't know why I'm here. I don't know what I did to be put here, especially feeling like ****." She said, looking up from her hands at Tayous, her eyes already red and puffy.

Tayous just looked at her like she was a crazy lady. He grabbed her from under the arm and pulled her to his feet and stepped back, holding out his hands. Two swords of gold formed in his hands.

"Since you two are from one body, you must fight for the body. The winning soul goes back to the body and live the rest of their life." Tayous said, handing a sword to me and holding one out to Tess.

She crossed her arms and looked at the sword, to Tayous, to me, and back at the sword again. "**** me," she said, taking the sword.

Tayous turned around and pulled a sword from his belt and cut a big circle into the earth of the spirit world, causing a huge hole to form.

"This is the arena," he said, putting his sword back into his belt. "You will fight until the last person cannot stand."

Tayous held his hands out for us to take and we both took his offer. He walked us over to the hole and pushed us in and we fell to the bottom but didn't get hurt from the fall.

Tess picked up her sword and her eyes widened and grew darker, she was scared. Of course I was going to win, especially with how weak Tess is now.

I picked up my sword and charged.
