The Forbidden Kind

Into the dark world of black magic. I stand forward trying to find my way out. Every corner of the world, nothing seems to be right for me. But then an angel I see comes to me. A bright light shines on my face. I can't see anything but the darkness beyond me.

Where am I? I ask myself. First I was somewhere I saw my grandmother. Must have I fallen asleep? I know I'm not yet in the present. I can still feel the time difference. Wait- am I in a dream?

"Raven..." A cold whisper rings in my ears. Grandmother... again?

"Grandmother?" I say hoarsely, still staring at the light.

"I just had to do it. This is the only way to talk to you." I feel a cold touch on my skin.

"W-what is it?" I stammer.

I feel a sigh coming from her, I still couldn't see her. Just the heavenly mixture of darkness and light. "Being a Xelock. It's your curse."

My heart drops on the floor. My eyes widen at what I see. An illusion of my transformation... not the one with Nolaine. But with... Eli.

I stare in front of me, my heart slowly falling to the ground as I am shaking in fearㅡ in disbelief.

Is that really me I see in the illusion? Is it...? All blurry and dark, but I still could see it.

"That is you..." My grandmother sigh.

My eyes couldn't take the view anymore. It was in a dark place, more like a cave. Every sign of witchcraft inside there.

I see myself creeping inside the cave admiring the beauty and signs of Satanic symbols. Like a naïve little girl, I awaken the guardian of the cave... Eli.

And then everything shut down. I blink my eyes fast and look at my grandmother. She's gone!

Tears flows as I break down on my knees. Everything empty. Everything unexplainable. When will someone ever tell me what happened? Who am I? Why am I like this?

"Grandma!" I scream at the top of my lungs. I wipe my tears slowly and see a light beyond me.

I am in a garden surrounded by black and red roses, so many bushes, a pond and water lilies. My head turns to look for someone, someone I hope I know.

I glance at the mansion in front of me. I look around and breathe in the fresh air. Unknowingly a smile forms my lips. I have never felt this wonderful feeling. Even once. Just now. I walk around the garden, smelling every flower my way, and then I sit down the white painted bench, which attracted me by the design of the little flowers. I giggle silently forgetting what is happening.

"Lady Elizabeth! Lady Elizabeth! Please stop running." A worn out voice awakens me. I quickly run to hide.

"I told you to stop calling me ELIZABETH! My name is Eli!" A cute squeaky voice screams.

Behind a wooden White column, I peek at them and got lost in a trance.

Eli Alexander... my eyes widen as I stare at her. I always thought she had a black, red, blonde or maybe a brunette hair. But ever since she was young, she always had her crystal White hair. Her eyes like the sky blue. So beautiful, so admiring.

"I apologise my lady... E-Eli...zabe... Eli." The maid bowed her head.

Eli smirks at her and her arms linked together and suddenly her face frowns. "Can you smell that...?" She says while sniffing.

"Lady, that is bad manners."

She snobs the maid and begins to walk forward... forward... to me."

"I can smell human flesh." She licks her luscious lips as she looks behind the bushes. My heart beats rapidly as I try to think what to do.

"My lady. I am human, it is I you smell...?"

She shakes her head, "No."

She creeps slowly toasted me and I sense a sly smile. I shut my eyes and hope for the best.

"Bridgette, go." She orders.

"Y-yes, my lady." Her footsteps loud and clear on the surface, I sigh in relief.

I slowly move behind the bush, and bump into someone...

"Aha!" Eli's voice rings in my ear as I stare deep into the ocean blue eyes of the person I accidentally and gladly bump into.

ㅡ??????'s POVㅡ

If you leave, you have to prepare for the worst. That sentence... doesn't do anything else to me than making me suffer. I want leave and start a new life. I don't want to be stuck here... stuck somewhere I don't belong.

I breathe in the fine morning breeze. My brunette shoulder-length hair dances with the wind. I am in the garden, smelling the scent of the flowers all around me, I walk and walk trying to clear my mind when I hear Lady Elizabeth's voice.

I sigh and smirk at myself, Why are you trying to be affected by that demon...? I say silently.

"I can smell human flesh." I cuss myself and try to hide. I definitely forgot she is a witch. A unique one in fact. I run swiftly behind a bush hoping she wouldn't find me; but I find myself looking at a girl that's making my heart beat rapidly like this. It's the first time.

"Aha!" Elizabeth's voice rings in my mind, but I can't keep away from her soulful eyes. Who are you...? My heart asks.

"Brother?" Her voice coming to a ruthless tone as I feel her glare. I stand up and just smile.

She breaks the moment as her eyes left mine. "Little sister." I smile as I glance at her.

"Who... is she...?" She says with interest.

The lady looks at me and back at Elizabeth. "I-I'm Raven." She stammers.

A sweet smile forms her lips. "I'm Eli." She looks at me and smirks, "and that's my brother..."

I cut her off by showing a fake cough, "I believe your name is ELIZABETH. Not Eli."

She flips her hair and looks back at Raven. "Please ma'am. Please do call me Eli."

"No need to be so polite." Raven smiles.

"Call her Elizabeth." I chuckle.

Raven's eyes meets mine and she giggles. "Brother, would you leave?" Elizabeth grouches.

"No." I say in a playful tone. I hold my hand to Raven's. "Come lady, stand up."

Her soft touch makes my heart beat much more faster.

"Brother, you look flustered." Elizabeth smirks.

I gasp to myself and look away.

"I apologise ma'am. He is such... a... a... erm... Dimwit?" Raven's laugh filled my ears with joy.

"'Tis fine." She says.

I look back at them hoping my cheeks aren't burning red. She looks at me and smiles, "I'm sorryㅡ I didn't get your name."

I smile at her as I get lost back in the trance. "I'm... I'm Zephyr."

ㅡRaven's POVㅡ

Zephyr...? I whispered to myself as my eyes in horror. I could feel the cold wind on my skin. My heart beating rapidly and breaking to pieces.

I smiled faintly and looked at Eli. I have to run... I have to run away! my feet quickly moved as fast as it could, I ran and ran, not looking back. I could hear their voices screaming my name.

Zephyr... Zephyr... Who are you, really? So familiar, yet I can't remember. I thought so hard, but somehow I still don't know him... Don't know what we were. What has happened to me?

I felt my knees aching and fell on the ground, the smell of the pines in the forest was refreshing. I crawled slowly behind a tree and sighed.

I closed my eyes hoping I'd be back in the present, but it didn't happen at all. I opened my eyes and sighed.

"Raven...?" It's Zephyr. I closed my eyes again. "I know you're there." I could hear the leaves on the ground rustling. He sits on the other side of the tree.

"W-what...?" I whispered while I stammered.

"Are you afraid of thee?" He said.

"N-no."

"Then why'd you run away?"

I sighed again and closed my eyes, "Because... You remind me of someone... Someone I believe I used to love. Someone... Who broke my heart. Someone... Who I failed to kill."

He was speechless in a moment and he chuckled, "So do you, mi lady. When I first saw you, it was like I've known you for so long. Your image so calming and you're familiar, really. But I can't remember."

My eyes widened in shock, "I'm not from here."

He laughed, "Then where?"

"The future." I say hoarsely.

I felt a light tap on my shoulder and I turn to face that direction. My eyes met his, and we were staring for a long time until I turned around. He chuckled, "I like you." His voice rang in my ears as I couldn't believe what I heard.

But everything faded... Like a blurry light; and I found myself back to the present where I felt my tears falling.
