A fishy with only one eye and no other senses may perceive the world in 2 dimensions visually, but through using those 2D representations, they will construct both a mental 3D and 4D representation. I don't think any creatures are amiss of any memory. But speaking of the 5th dimension, and of potential alternative possibilities and realities, I'd concede that that may be a higher-order thing that certain organisms may not have accessible. But that's speculation. Maybe that can be the new question: Can animals speculate?
did you like...go to grade 4...? x, y, and z axes - 3 spatial dimensions - and one temporal dimension. everything we perceive has 4 dimensions. nothing is 2d.
planes are 2d and what we see is basically like a tv screen or a drawing, we see things flatly and distinguish 3d ie cubes through shadows. our other senses make up for the eyes
