Dante's stepsister was nothing like I thought she would be. She was the most gorgeous woman I had ever seen and she wasn't that much older than I. She had long blonde hair that touched her waist and light blue eyes. Her face was pretty and her make up was applied perfectly and brought out the loveliness of her face. She was tall and skinny too. "Dante!" she called as we entered her shop. She came over to us as she smiled at him and then her eyes wandered over to meet mine. I half expected her to glare at me or something but instead she beamed. "And you must be Helena, I'm pleased to meet you!" I blinked and gave her a small smile. "It's nice to meet you too." "I bet Dante has told you nothing about me," she said and she extended a hand out towards me. "I'm Diana Anderson and I'm an amateur hair stylist and make up artist." I nodded in acknowledgment and I let her take my hand. She was rather friendly. "Hey you," she said to Dante who was reading a magazine. Dante turned and raised an eyebrow. "What?" "Out." "Excuse me?" "Out. Get out of here. I don't want you to watch me work. Come back in about two hours. I should be done by then. Okay?" He seemed annoyed at this but he reluctantly left the shop without another word to either me or her. She turned back to me and smiled kindly. "Now. I am going to make you even more beautiful than you already are!" "I'm not beautiful..." I said quietly. "Oh shush. I love your hair. I wish I was a brunette but unfortunately I am blonde. I've always admired those with darker hair but in a way I like my hair as well. I also think your face is naturally pretty. You don't wear make up do you?" "Not really. Sometimes I'll slap on some eye shadow but I'm no pro at it so I don't try." "That's okay. I think you're pretty the way you are. But I am going to apply some cosmetics that I think would suit you well. Does that sound good?" I nodded. "Yes. Thank you." She smiled again as she pushed me into a chair with wheels and wheeled me over to a cosmetic station with large mirrors. She brushed my hair out of my face and plastered it back. She being her work and I became rather anxious. It took her almost an hour to finish everything facial. "Looks good to me." I turned to see myself in the mirror but before I could get a glimpse she shoved me back down in the chair. "Um..." "Not until I'm fully finished! I want you to see the end product for both your face and hair." I nodded. She then took me to a hair dressing table without any mirrors and I frowned. I had hoped that there would be mirrors and I could see myself, she begin her work on my hair. She brushed it for what seemed like a long time before she clipped it up. She began to cut my hair in several layers and I smiled. I had always wanted layers. After some time I realized she was curling my hair. Another hour passed and she stood in front of me. She examined my face for a few seconds before she took some hairs in front of my face and in one clean swipe she cut them in an equal line across my forehead. "Done!" she said and he grinned. I reached up to touch the hair that were touching my forehead. She gave me bangs? Not even a minute passed before the front doors banged open and in walked Dante. "Oh Dante!" Diana stood me up and pushed me towards him. "Sooo? Did I do a good job? I did didn't I? I think she looks absolutely gorgeous!" His gaze met mine and his eyes narrowed. Was he angry? Did he not like it? I hadn't even seen myself. Did I really look that bad? "She looks great," he said in a low hiss and he grabbed my wrist. "Helena and I must be going. Send me the bill," he told we before he practically dragged me out of the shop. "Does it really look that bad...?" I asked. "What do you think? Do you think it looks good?" "I haven't seen myself yet." "You look just like a celebrity now. Congratulations," he said in a sarcastic voice. He hastily walked towards the car and got in. He sat with his arms folded across his chest, his face wearing a permanent scowl. Was he angry because I no longer looked like me? I opened the car door and slid inside. Moments passed before I opened my bag to get my pocket mirror. I nervously took a peek and my mouth almost dropped open in surprise. This... was me? I didn't look at all how I imagined. I looked... beautiful. My heart skipped a few beats and I smiled. "You like?" asked Dante. "Yes. But I can't believe this is me. I don't look at all how I looked before. It's quite amazing actually." He rolled his eyes and looked out the window. He shook his head and I frowned. Why didn't he like it? He was the one that wanted this done... yet he wouldn't compliment me at all. It kind of offended me. "You want a compliment?" My face flushed in embarrassment. "N-no." "Good because you're not getting one." He turned to me and grinned. "Maybe next time." "Asshole." "I know. Anyways... next is clothes. I'm buying you a whole new wardrobe. Yours sucks so I'm getting rid of all the clothes you have and replacing them with suitable wardrobe for someone that is dating me." I sighed. I wasn't sure if this was the best way to go about this but I would go along with him and this plan he had for me.
