The Celebrity and Me

As we left the house, I could see the front gates of the property. The paparazzi was pretty much doing anything to get in. Many were trying to climb the gate but had no luck. They saw us from the distance and fingers pointed towards Dante and I. Dante grabbed me and shoved me into the car head first.

"Put down your window and keep your head up. Look at the photographers and smile. We are a happy couple," growled Dante.

"Yeah I can tell," I responded.

"What?"

"Nothing," I said and I put down my window just as he instructed me to do. "I don't see the point of this."

"We need to appear as a happy couple to the public. Leaving my home together looking happy makes us look real. I need to fix the mess you made by being with that teacher. I will need your cooperation in doing so."

I nodded. "Okay..."

"Good."

I did as he said and I looked up and flashed my best smile for the cameras. I even threw a little wave in. I turned back around to see what expression Dante's had. It was a cool expression and he looked exactly like the celebrities you would see in a magazine. He caught me staring at him and his gentle smile became a devious one.

"Dante?"

He leaned his head in towards me and captured my lips with his. I felt all my blood rush to my face and I felt a strong urge to push him away. However I knew that if I did there's no saying what he could possibly do.

"Let's give them what they want," he whispered against my lips. "Kiss me back."

I did as he said and I kissed him back. I felt uncomfortable and Daniel's face kept popping into my head. He could feel this uneasiness and he pulled away.

"You're thinking of him, aren't you?"

"N-no," I said and I bit my lip.

"Liar," was all he said and he grabbed the back of my head and forcefully kissed me, his tongue pressing against my closed lips. I refused to give him access and as we turned the corner he pushed me away and wiped his mouth. "You..."

"Me?"

"You need to learn how to kiss. I'm in no mood to even look at you."

"What? What the hell do you mean by that? You jerk! And fine I'll learn... from Daniel... I'm sure a mature adult like him knows a thing or two about kissing," I huffed.

He glared at me and he turned away. "If that's what you want then go ahead. However, you better not get caught or it's over."

"You don't think I don't know that already?"

"What?"

I looked out the window and sighed. "Nothing."

We made it to the downtown area of the city and I looked around. I'd been here many times but for some reason it felt different being with a celebrity. People gathered in groups so they could perhaps take a peek at the handsome singer and his infamous girlfriend.

"Stop here," said Dante to the driver as we neared a small building. It read 'Anderson' on it.

"Does this place belong to you?"

"No. It belong to my sister. She's nineteen. She's very skilled at what she does and she will be able to help you."

He had a sister? I didn't know he had siblings... I had always thought he was an only child.

"You have a sister?"

"Well she's my step sister. I have a step brother too. My father remarried when a few years back."

"Remarried?"

He seemed uncomfortable with this question and he merely got out of the car without another word.

So there was something in his family he didn't want to talk about? Perhaps he had family issues like me. I remembered my sister. It had only been a day since I last saw her. I wasn't going to go back home... there's no way I could go back home.

"Helena! Get your ass out of the car and let's get moving. I don't have all day," he shouted and I jumped.

"Coming!" I responded and got out of the car and follows him into the building.

Today I was going to change. Physically and mentally. I was going to do my best to live up to Dante's standards and win Daniel's heart. It all began today.
