Before anyone else can say or do anything we were hit in the head with a some kind of metal pole making us fall down, I looked up groaning and saw the other members of the squad smirking at us. One of them had Rose in their grasps, she was crying and whimpering calling for me. I got up wincing at pain and said, "Get your hands off of her!" Someone's arms were then wrapped around me tight their hands on my neck, I whimpered and squirmed trying to get out. Ricky and Tyler saw that getting pissed saying, "Don't touch her!" I whimpered shaking my head as he whispered, "Wanna have fun sweet cheeks. I can take you right now and right here." The other members laughed and said, "We can have a lil fun for a few minutes. Don't you think everybody?" As I looked around I saw that there were two guys including the one holding me and two girls, I squinted at all the tags and saw that their names were; Alex, Dylan, Jennifer and Angel. Ricky got up and said, "Get your hands off of her now." Alex smirked and tighten the grip making me whimper more, Tyler got up also saying, "Let her go." Alex licked across my neck saying, "Mmm.. I'm gonna be the first one to take her." Angel rolled her eyes saying, "We got no time to be fooling around. We just need the child." My eyes widen and I looked at Rose seeing her crying and reaching out for me, I squirmed and tried reaching out for her saying, "No you can't have her! Let her go!" Angel laughed and got in my face saying, "Were gonna take your precious item away from you. And guess what you can't do anything about it." I clenched my fist then threw back my head hard making Alex groan and let go of me, I then upper cut Angel in the jaw. She cried out falling down on the floor, I ran over to Rose and punched the person to holding her on the side of their face. Rose ran to me then wrapped her arms around my leg hiding behind me, I cocked my Beretta aiming it at the members saying, "You can't take my daughter away." Tyler and Ricky looked at them taking out their own guns saying, "You better leave." The squad looked at all of us saying, "Hand over the girl. She doesn't belong to you." I backed up a little holding Rose's hand saying, "Or what." I then felt a knife being put to my throat and a voice saying, "You'll die right in front of her." Rose ran over to Tyler saying, "Don't let them take me away from my mommy. Don't let them hurt her." I slowly reach towards my belt saying, "Go ahead." Tyler put Rose behind him while Ricky held out his hand in a calm motion saying, "Why do you need her?" Angel step up saying, "She's the daughter of a famous scientist. Who unleashed this virus out to the whole world." I gripped the handle of my Ka-Bar taking it out slowly, the person holding the knife to my throat loosen their grip whispering in my ear, "Don't do it. I'm not gonna kill you." I tensed saying quietly, "How can I trust you? Your with the people trying to kill us." He wrapped his arms around me tight pressing me into him saying, "Just trust me okay."
It's nice to add paragraphs in between dialogues. It's easier to read. Other than that, it's amazing!
I nod slowly and slide my Ka-Bar back in its pocket, I look over at Rose and give a small smile. She cries more falling on her knees putting her head in her hands, Angel steps towards them and Ricky aims at her saying, "Don't you even think about it." She smirks and says, "Your little girly is gonna die if you don't." Tyler then picks up Rose and keeps aiming his P226 Elite at the members, I slowly reach for my Beretta as I hear him whisper, "I'm sorry." Before I could say anything a puff of black smoke appears enveloping all of us, I then start hearing yelling, screaming and Rose crying. I look around seeing figures running off and disappearing, I see a small figure and start running towards it. As I get out of the smoke I see the squad running off with Rose in their grasp, I start running after them screaming for her. She reaches her hands out to me crying and screaming, I let out a small gasp feeling something pull my ankle. An infected started pulling my ankle towards his open bloody mouth, I curse and pull out my Ka-Bar then shove it deep inside it's head. I look back at where I saw the squad and see that they disappeared, I fall to my knees clenching my fist and saying, "I'll find you Rose. I promise." A few minutes later I walk back to the group seeing that the guy that was holding me is still there surrounded by our group. I walk right up to him grabbing his shirt collar pushing him back saying, "Why the fuck didn't you tell me they were gonna do that!" He doesn't say anything but stops being pushed back, I start hitting his chest repeatedly saying, "Why didn't you tell me!" He grabs my wrist, I then start crying slowly falling to my knees, once I'm on my knees Dylan pulls me to him wrapping his arms around me. Tyler clenches his fist and walks over to us pulling me out of his arms, Dylan stands up saying, "What the fuck is your problem!" I wrap my arms around Tyler crying into his chest, as he says, "You tried killing her! And now your being all lovey dovey to her!" Ricky punches Dylan in the face saying, "Why the hell are you here!" He spits out the blood and wipes his mouth saying, "I'm here cause she's my step sister! I couldn't kill her!" I look over at him, he watches me saying, "Do you remember me Raquel?" I shake my head then loosen my grip on Tyler, Dylan sighs and says softly, "Figures. We haven't seen each other in about four to five years." I walk over to Dylan slowly taking hold of his hand gently, he looks down at me and grips my hand saying, "Hey how you been?" I give a small smile saying, "I've been good you?" He smiles then pulls me into a hug saying, "Good and why aren't you with your family?" I sigh softly and put my face in his chest saying, "They left before I could even get to them." He nods and lays his head on top of mines closing his eyes, Tyler and Ricky growls a little saying softly to each other, "There really close huh. Maybe too close." Jay coughed then said, "Um hey we better get going or we'll be dinner." I shook my head saying, "I'm going after them. I need to get Rose back." Dylan gripped my hand tighter saying, "Well your not going alone. I'm coming with you."
Tyler and Ricky growled under their breath and said, "Were coming with." Dylan shakes his head saying, "Too much people. It'll be harder for us to get in and get out quicker." I nod saying, "We'll meet you somewhere when we get Rose okay? We'll be alright don't worry." They look at each other then me before nodding, I give a small smile then walk to them pulling them both in for a group hug. Ricky and Tyler both whisper in my ear, "We need you here with us. Don't get yourself killed alright." I nod then kiss both of their cheeks before walking back to Dylan, I give a wink saying, "I can take care of myself. Love you guys." Both of them give a slight blush before saying, "L-Love you too." Jay hands me a walkie talkie then some spare magazines already loaded, I give a small nod then put them in my belt pockets. Dylan cocks his M1191 pistol then looks over at me saying, "Ready?" I nod then start walking off, he walks besides me saying, "Ready to bring them hell." I give a small giggle checking my magazine then say, "Of course. Took away my baby." Dylan smiles then grabs my hand running off, I grip it tighter following behind. It was around seven when the sun started to set, I looked around the little town finding a safe place to spend the night. Dylan pointed to a apartment building saying, "It'll be safer than a house. We'll go to the second floor just in case." I nod then held my Beretta up walking towards the building, Dylan gets against the wall then looks in the complex before walking in. I follow behind as we start walking up the steps, he opens one of the door slowly and looks around holding his OKC-3S bayonet knife. I walk in slowly then close the door locking it, he then walks off towards the other rooms. I put my Beretta in my holster and bring out my Ka-Bar before walking off towards the room. Dylan had came back out and looked at me saying, "It's safe for now, we'll camp here tonight." I nodded then went towards the room and got ready to sleep while Dylan stayed on watch.
Jay's Pov I looked around the highway and saw cars all over the place, flipped over, crashed into others and some just normal. I looked over at Miranda and saw her scared face, she looked at me and tried to put her bravest smile but in her eyes you can see the fear. I took her hand and pulled her close to me, a slight blush then creeped on both of our faces as there was tight silence between us. Tyler coughed and said, "Hey lovebirds, we gotta find a place before the infected come out. It's getting dark." I nodded and said, "Were gonna have to find a van or something." Miranda tighten the grip and said, "There's one over there." I nodded and started walking towards it but stopped when realizing we were missing someone, I said, "Where's Ricky?" The sound of running footsteps was then heard, I pulled out my Kimber cocking it then turned around aiming it at the figure, the person held their hands up saying, "Woah it's just me. We gotta hide now!" As I looked past him I saw a group of figure sprinting towards us, I then grabbed Miranda's hand and started running towards the van. We all got in and cocked our guns ready for anything, the other three were on the stomachs while I was backed against the vans wall. The footsteps, groaning and moaning gotten louder and louder every minute, Miranda let out a small whimper and reached for my hand. I grabbed her hand looking at her saying, "Your not gonna die got that. We're gonna make it out of here together." She nodded then tighten the grip, I peeked out the window seeing a few of infected near the other cars moaning and groaning hungrily. I cursed under my breath and looked at the three saying, "You guys take a rest. I'll keep watch." Miranda looked at me shaking her head saying, "I'll watch with you." I smiled then nodded, the other two looked at each other doing a little schoolgirl giggle before falling asleep. I scoff and say, "Idiots." Miranda let out a small giggle then sat besides me, I peeked out the window again and saw that the infected had started walking away while bumping into cars and each other. About a few hours later I shook the other two awake saying, "Your on watch now." The two nodded and I closed my eyes falling asleep, while I was sleeping I felt extra weight settling on me. Opening one eye I saw Miranda sleeping on me, I smiled then kissed her cheek before wrapping an arm around her protectively. She smiled in her sleep then snuggled into my shoulder, I smile then push the hair on her face away before kissing her gently on the lips. I slowly pull away whispering her ear softly, "I love you Miranda." She opens her eyes then puts her lips inches away from mines, I look at her startled then tighten my grip around her more. She puts her lips closer then says, "I love you too Jay." Our lips then capture each other in a soft and gentle touch, her hands goes around my neck pulling herself closer to me. I didn't care about anything right now except Miranda, I finally found the her, I found her in this hellish world where everybody is eating each other. I found her and I'm gonna risk my own damn life just to keep her safe and by my side, no ones gonna take her away from me not now not ever. End of Pov
When I had woken I got up then grabbed my belt and put it around my waist then took out my Beretta cocking it, Dylan looked over at me and said, "Ready?" I nodded then walked out the room, as we got outside we saw a few infected surrounding a bus, I then heard a little boys voice saying, "Help! Please!" I screamed over here attracting their attention, about five to seven infected had started walking towards us groaning and moaning hungrily. I looked at Dylan and said, "You go help him, I'll deal with them." He shook his head saying, "No." I clenched my fist then ran straight to the horde, I ignored his calls and once close enough I took a sharp right turn down the street. As I looked back I saw the horde start running after me, while running I shot two bullets at the infected close to me and smirked hearing them drop down with a thud. After wasting about six bullets I finally managed to kill them all before reaching a dead end ally. I took out the magazine then put in a loaded one, as I walked past the bodies I saw small bloods of pool near their head. Shivering I started jogging back to Dylan, the little boy looked around Rose's age except maybe one year older, he had caramel eyes with dark brown hair. I smiled remembering Rose, who had short light brown hair to her shoulders with hazel eyes, the little boy ran to me hugging my leg sacredly saying, "T-Thank you." I smiled and ruffled up his hair saying, "What are you doing out here alone?" He let's go of my legs saying, "One of those zombies found my hiding spot, I ran to the bus and closed the door before they could get in." I nodded saying, "Parents?" He looked down sad saying, "Dead." I picked him up letting him cry into my shoulder, I rubbed his back soothingly saying, "What's your name sweetie?" He looked at me saying, "Kyle." I smiled then said, "Let's get going." Dylan smiled and watched us, I put him down then held his hand before walking away. Before nightfall we had gotten at the base, its near a forest and in an opened clear field with lots of tents scattered everywhere. As we looked around I noted that there's a few officers on patrol with heavy armor around the sides, my eyes then widened as I saw Rose being hit repeatedly with some kind of whip.
My hands ball up in a fist as I continued watching what they were doing to her, Dylan puts his hand on my shoulder saying, "They'll pay for it alright." I nod then look at Dylan saying, "Hey I got an idea but you gotta take Kyle and get out of here." Kyle grabs my legs saying, "No don't." I ruffled his hair saying, "Im gonna be alright okay." Dylan looks me in the eyes before leaning in and kissing my cheek, I then kneel down and hug Kyle tightly, I then watch as they both disappear in the darkness. I cock my Beretta then start running into the north side of the forest, I reach a highway then look around seeing a horde of zombies walking around. I look around then pick up a pole and start hitting it against a car, luckily the car sounds an alarm making it loud and the lights go on and off. Next thing I see is more and more infected coming towards the sound, I then pull the trigger of my Beretta and watch as all of them start sprinting towards me. Once a feet away I turn around and run back in the forest towards the base, I jump in a bush and watch as the big horde of infected start sprinting towards the base. The sound of yelling and gunshots are then heard in a few seconds, I then start running towards the base and to the large tent. As I look around I see more and more zombies coming out of the forest, officers screaming for help as the teeth of the infected sinks into their flesh and some shooting themselves, I run inside the tent and see Rose on the mattress crying. Before I could walk to her I see a blade coming towards me, I then dodge before it could sink into my chest. Angel's standing there smirking holding a bloody Ka-Bar, I take out my own Ka-Bar and say, "What you waiting for! I'm right here!" Angel smirks more then says, "Your gonna die." I block the incoming slice and watch as sparks run off the blade as it slides against each other. I then start swinging my Ka-Bar at her but she keeps doing backwards handstands moving away, I growl as she tries knocking my Ka-Bar out my hand. In a second her blade comes across my face leaving a long fresh bloody cut, I wipe the blood off then run towards her trying to get a stab. We both end up grabbing each others shoulders our Ka-Bars in the air as we glare at each other, she then knees me in the stomach then pushes me back. Losing my balance I fall on my back, she then gets on me then brings the blade down towards my neck but I was able to grab her hand when she's inches away. Her tip of the Ka-Bar starts inching closer and closer until its piercing my skin drawing blood, I cry out and look up seeing her smirking. The tip inches in deeper making me scream, I hear her say, "Your gonna die right in front of her in a few seconds. Any last words." I grip her hands tighter then say, "Fuck you." My knee comes to her stomach and before her blade could sink deep inside my neck, I threw my leg up high making her flip over me and onto her back groaning. I slowly get up as she gets up then run towards her, I spit out blood as I feel her blade sink deep into my stomach. I hear Rose scream and turn seeing an infected walking towards us, Angel's too busy stabbing me repeatedly to realize it, I take out my Beretta then pull the trigger letting the bullet go through her leg. She screams then falls to the floor holding her bloody leg, I run to Rose wincing at the pain and pick her up saying, "Any last words." Angel's eyes widen and she doesn't have time to speak before the infected's teeth sink deep into her shoulder ripping off the flesh.
