also anyway if your point is more about ata being a capitalist company and you feel their actions in adding money-gifts for non-mainstream religions/holidays/marginalized groups then perhaps you should reword your original sentiments since they imply that you also don’t like the gifts because they’re “too pc” or whatever bs unless that is also what you mean in which there’s no point in arguing
Firstly, I said virtue signaling. Secondly, you do not understand what it means. It means ATA is doing it so people will think they are good. But I should not argue with people who will never change; we all have our vices.
I never said you were one, I said you sounded like one. The Queen of the United Kingdom may talk like a queen, but she is no legitimate monarch.* And the reason I thought you sounded like one is that you seemed okay with that arrangement. *A post for another time.
@firebends Fine. Yeah. They might have a diverse team. I might be wrong about their motivations. I am not infallible. But I never accused ATA of being "too PC" on this issue, which that person put into my mouth against my will. I attacked their motivation. Even if I am wrong about their motivation, that person is still wrong about me. Who cares about nuance and truth anymore? Sadly, very few. Especially the SJWs.
as hailey bolded to emphasize, the ata team is diverse. it’s likely that there was actual input from these people to celebrate these events. which means it’s probably not just ata wanting to look like they’re good than just actually being aware of certain things going on and having internal requests to give them time in the game.
I totally agree with you that a lot of companies do do diversity things like this for clout, but tbh based on my knowledge about the devs I do not think ATA personally is suspect of doing this just for clout.
Did you even read my previous post, or were you to focused on your witch hunt? I admitted I could be wrong. You know what, I'll say I am wrong. ATA is not virtue signaling; they are acting on what they believe to be right. I WAS WRONG! ATA makes some decisions in line with what it takes to be ethical. However, you still wrote that I wrote something which I did not write. Even if my opinion was wrong, you are still wrong about what I wrote!
i didn’t put the words in your mouth tyvm i just was unsure on YOUR intentions via the matter. tons of people who do object to things about other cultures/religions/groups/etc (usually the same people who complain about things being too pc) use similar arguments about whatever it is hurting the target audience. or whatever. anyway yea i too am fallible so sorry if it came off as an attack. it wasn’t meant to be that way if your intention was not to in any way dislike the gifts based on the fact they’re for a muslim holiday/lgbt pride also i was writing while you posted so i hadn’t seen it so my b
And as I just said in response to that person, I was wrong. However, that person still twisted my statements into something which they were not. And that I will not tolerate.
i didn’t twist your statements !! all im was that 1) because of any prior complaining i had heard second hand about it came off as more of a dislike of the gifts for muslim ppl and lgbt ppl based on that, not on any sort of sketchy motives of ata and 2) that IF that wasn’t your actual intention perhaps you should restate things to make that clear(er) and as you have said that wasn’t your intention it just happened to be bad timing in posts that exacerbated the issue but anyway thank u for forgiving me but also go off on the british monarchy i’m here for that shít
Tbh I ain’t been on forums today cuz I don’t require the attention of others ?this a laughable read from start to finish tho
Maybe I'm too used to editing papers and articles for people, but if I need clarity in something, I ask the creator. If you were unclear, it's on you to ask in my mind. However, I forgive you and there's no reason to argue a moot point.
