As soon as Amy's room was cleared another girl moved in. "Hey," She said putting down her bags," I'm Cam." "I'm Charlie, that's Karissa at the table, and Leliah's in her room." "So I hear the girl who lived here before got stabbed." "Yeah, it was only a few days ago to." "Did she die?" "No, she's still at the hospital." "Have you visited her yet?" "No, but me and a friend are going today." Suddenly Karissa poked her head out of whatever she was doing. "Can I come?" I looked at her. "Are you sure you're comfortable being there with me and Tony?" "Well if I were you I'd feel more threatened by my being there." Cam stood there awkwardly. "I'm sensing some friction here, so I'm just gonna go unpack in my room." Cam rushed off leaving me and Karissa to have a loud and heated argument. A couple hours later we were in the hospital walking down the hallway. Me and Karissa were still fighting and Tony was obviously getting bored. We walked in to see Karl already with Amy. "So how is she?" "The doctors say along with the knife wound she was hit in the head with a blunt object, she's lucky to be alive. Something in what Karl said triggered Karissas interest, because she immediately walked up to him and started asking questions. I looked down at Amy. Her long hair had been neatly brushed and had been put to the side on her neck. She had an IV drip in her hand and an oxygen mask on. She had a bandage around the top of her head and severe bruising around it. She looked pretty beat up. The only thing that gave me any solace was the beeping of the machines hooked up to her. "Are you ok?" Tony put his arm around me. "Yeah I'm fine, just a little shocked, that's all." Suddenly Karl and Karissa rushed to Amy looking for something. Me and Tony stepped back. "Bye guys we're gonna go now." They didn't even look up. "Karl I'll call mom when I get back to the academy." "Ok see ya." As Tony and I walked into the hallway I heard Karl gasp. "Eureka!"
I rushed back in. "What?" "We've got it!" And without another word Karl and Karissa rushed out. Tony and I stood there a moment and then walked out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 10 PM THAT NIGHT from the perspective of 'X' I was in the shadows, it's here that I am the true master. My target walked down the sidewalk, oblivious to my presence. I smiled, their obliviousness would cost them dearly. I raised the gun, stepping out of the shadows. They raised their head, aware of my presence. Slowly they faced me, they knew what would happen next. "So it was you." The words barely escaped their mouth before they were shot. They fell. I walked up to them and looked inside the folder they were carrying. "Well this won't do at all now will it?" They didn't respond, of course they wouldn't. Within minutes they would be dead anyways. I melted back into the shadows as I watched the girl run to him. "Karl? Karl?" Stupid girl. She didn't know anything. If only Karl had told her, but then she would be dead to. And there wasn't any point in killing Karissa just yet... ----------------TBC--------------
--------------Karissa--------------- I was walking out of the hospital with Karl. We knew what was going on. "Hey I'm gonna run ahead to the headmasters office." "Ok." I responded. Karl ran out of sight. The sun was setting and my thoughts were spinning. Suddenly the weight of knowledge crashed down, I knew. I knew the crazy person who had attacked Amy. I knew who was going to attack other people for their insane purposes. I knew who was so clever that they anticipated our every move. I knew who would target next. I ran forward, they knew how smart Karl was, they knew he would figure it out. I heard a gunshot. I was to late! I saw a body lying in the middle of the sidewalk. "Karl, Karl!" I screamed running towards him. I knelt down, he was still alive, but barely. "You're gonna be ok Karl!" I picked up my phone and called 911. I heard a voice on the other line. "911 emergency response." TBC...
---------Charlie--------- I was in the dorm with Tony and Leliah. After about an hour me and Tony had finally managed to get her out of her room, but she looked awful. There were very dark circles under her eyes, her hair stuck out in all directions. And by the smell of her it was obvious she hadn't taken a shower in a while. While Tony was making her some tea I was trying to figure out why she was so upset. "Leliah, I know it's sad that Amy was attacked but she's gonna be ok." "Not you... Impossible." "What's impossible Leliah?" "How did you?... to far." "How did they what?" "You weren't here... you couldn't be." Tony sat down and put the tea in front of Leliah. "What is she talking about?" "I'm not quite sure." Leliah continued to have her strange conversation with the invisible man, she didn't even notice her tea or me and Tony staring. "But then... There's another." My phone rang. "Is it dinner gramma?" I ignored Leliah as I answered the phone. "Hello?" I heard somebody crying on the other line. "Who is this?" "Its Karissa." "What's up?" "Come to the ER, quickly." "Why?" "It's Karl." I hung up. "Tony, we have to go, NOW." Me and Tony rushed out the door, we knew that Leliah would eventually crawl into bed. "Bye Leliah." I said over my shoulder as we rushed out the door. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From the view of 'X', again. I watched through the window. Perfect, all exactly according to the plan. She was totally helpless. Soundlessly I opened the window and crept inside. She immediately jumped up to face me. "HA! I knew you were behind it!" "That doesn't matter, you won't have the chance to tell anybody." "That's what you think." She rushed to the door, I love it when they think they have a chance. I shot the ground, barely missing her slippered feet. She ran to the other end of the room. Phone? I think not. I shot her leg before she could get near it. She fell to the ground. I let her lie in agony as I browsed the kitchen. Ah the choices. So many delicious ways to end this. I stopped on front of the knife rack, perfect. I gently selected the butchers cleaver, I could tell it was a good one. I took the other knives as well, sliding them into my belt. I approached her as her body shook in fear. "Now this time it's gonna be a little different." "How?" She gasped. "This time it's gonna be deadly." And with that I brought the cleaver down. THUD sorry that I haven't been updating as much, I've been busy* - *lazy
