I quickly changed into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, and then using my escape expertise climbed out the window. When I got to the bottom Tony was waiting. "Took you long enough." "No it didn't!" "Fine it didn't." "At least we can agree on something." We walked away from the building and towards the road. "Where the heck are we going anyways?" "You'll see." We walked in silence for a while. As we walked we snaked around the lake and into the forest. The deeper we walked in the darker and denser the woods became. And then suddenly in front of us was a wall of leaves. "Now what?" I asked. "Just wait." He responded. Tony seemed to be looking for something in the foliage. Then he pulled one of leaves aside, revealing a short tunnel with more leaves at the end. "Ladies first." I slowly walked forward, it was dark so you couldn't see much. When we got to the end Tony pulled the leaves away to reveal what was on the other side. I gasped.
I found myself in a large clearing. In the center was a large clear pool of water with a waterfall running into it. The full moon lit up the entire clearing, with a huge reflection in the center of the water. Around the pool were all sorts of flowers, ferns and other plants. Weeping willows bordered the sides of the clearing. "It's beautiful." I breathed looking around in awe. "Isn't it?" Tony replied. "How did you find this place?" "I found it on my first day of school, I've come here almost every night since." "It's amazing." I walked around for a while, taking in everything. Finally I fell over on the ground, and slowly fell asleep.
And dreamt of me, Leliah, and Tony having races on green with orange polka dot dinosaurs!!! Haha great story!
The next morning I woke up to the early morning sun on my face. I looked up and saw Tony looking back at me. "Good morning." I yawned. "What time is it?" "About 5:30." "When does class start?" "8:00." "We should probably get going then." We both stood up, and Tony started walking towards one of the edges of the clearing. We walked back to the school building in silence, which was only broken by the occasional tweet of a bird, or a frog croaking. We reached the building after walking awhile, I turned to Tony. "So I had fun." "Me too." "So..." "So..." "I guess I'll see you around." "Definitely." And then Tony did something neither of us expected. He kissed me. I climbed back into my room. I looked around. Nobody standing in the doorway, my luck has changed. I glanced at my clock. 5:43. I still had some time to sleep. I set my alarm to 7:00 and stripped down to my underwear, then fell into one of the happiest sleeps of my life. sorry about the boringness of recent updates. i promise it's about to get much more exiting... -
I woke up to the sound of birds chirping, and the radio played at full volume. I jumped out of bed and took a quick shower. I got dressed and looked at the clock, 7:30. I walked into the main room while I was texting Emily about everything that had been going on, including last night. I saw Leliah eating toast, Amy getting some cereal, and Karissa staring at me accusingly. "We need to talk." Before I could say anything she had pulled me aside. "Listen, I don't know who you think you are, but where I come from you get a beatin' for stealing a girls boyfriend." "Stealing?" I laughed, "you guys broke up!" Karissa backed me into the corner. "I saw you with Tony last night, and it's gonna be a dark day if I see you with him again." And with that she stormed off. Leliah and Amy stared. I tried to look like nothing happened as I poured myself a glass of juice. Finally it was 7:55, so we all headed off to our different classes. My first class was geometry. After studying how boring triangles really could be I had science. After that was drama. Drama was probably the best class, I got pared up with this one girl named Emma. She didn't talk much but she was ok. Afterwords we had lunch. I sat down next to Leliah and Amy. "Hey there." I looked up to see Tony and some other guy standing buy our table. "Can we sit with you?" "Sure." Tony sat next to me, and the other guy sat next to him. "This is Matt." Matt waved. As we were all getting ready to eat the lights went out. Nobody could see. There was lots of screaming and people running into each other, when the lights went on. Suddenly Leliah screamed and fainted. As Matt caught her I looked down. There was Amy, with a knife in her side, lying in a pool of her own blood.
"Get out of the way!" Everybody moved aside as the lunch monitor ran towards Amy. He took out a rag and put it around the knife. Everybody stared in shock, nobody knew what to do. "Well don't just stand there, call for help." Tony got out his cell phone and dialed 911. While he did that I looked down at the knife. Something seemed familiar about it. Then I realized, it belonged to me. "So you swear you know what knife that is?" I was sitting in the headmasters office, being interrogated by Detective Ocean. "I swear, that's the knife that my brother got on eBay for me." "Your brother?" The Detective stared at me. "Does he go to this school?" "Yes but he wasn't at lunch yet." "Are you sure it's the same knife?" "Almost positive, but if you really want to be sure you should call my parents, they could tell you if it's missing or not." "Very well." Detective Ocean got out a file and dialed a number on the phone. A couple minutes later he hung up. "Apparently your house was robbed a couple days ago." "What?" I stared at him. "Was anything stolen?" "Strangely enough only two things were. The knife used to stab your friend and..." "And?" "A pistol."
After my interrogation I walked back to my dorm. My mind was racing a mile a minute, I was also hungry, tired and very depressed. I opened the door quietly. Leliah was sitting at the table next to Tony and Matt, and Karissa was on the couch writing rapidly, occasionally pausing to look at something on her phone. "Any news on Amy?" I asked. "She's in critical condition at the hospital." Tony replied. We all sat in silence, not sure what to do. I looked at my phone. 23 new text messages, geez word spreads around fast. I took a few minutes to answer them all. Then I noticed Karissa was staring at me. "What?" "I need your phone." "Why? You have the same exact phone in your hand." "Just hand me the friggin' phone." "Fine." I walked over and reluctantly gave her my phone, she immediately snatched it up and started to do who knows what to it. Leliah seemed to still be in shock, so I quietly lead her to her room. After I had closed the door I sat down with Tony and Matt. Suddenly Karissa stood up. "Well I'm not gonna just sit here with y'all, I've got a case to crack." And with that she dulled off to her room. We all sat there for a while, but then Matt and Tony left and I went to bed. The next day Amys parents came to take all her stuff.
