When Amber heard the word doctor she froze on the spot. That was her long time dream. Her sister was the best in that field and she wanted to follow her footsteps. But as you know, events unfolded and now all Amber has is nothing... "Okay then..." She whispered, eyes downcast. For the first time she was the one trailing behind the group, even Alice walked in front of her. 'I'm useless.' She thought as she stared at the others' backs
Alex: "I've helped you, treated you, bandaged you and fed you. I wont poison you." He looked at Amber. "You can still be a doctor..."
Fawn nodded and smiled a bit, eating the food she was given and resting her head on his shoulder again, trying to rest some.
Amber didn't reply. Claire shot her a worried look, while Alice looked at Amber from the corner of her eyes.
"Hey Alex do you like Fawn or something?" Alice suddenly spoke up. Successfully reverting everyone's attention from Amber to Fawn and Alex. Claire shot Alice a confused look, but then looked at Amber who was looking at Alice with gratefulness. 'Alice??' Amber thought confused...
Alex reached forward and touched Amber's arm. "Im serious... once we get of this forsaken land mass you can still pursue it."
"Hey why are you scowling at me, it was Alice who said it." Claire said glaring at Alex "Although Alice does have a point. You guys look like a couple."
Alex: "we arent... and as you can see im freezing my ass off in the cold, but im still here helping... and i rather not leave her to die."
"It's fine though I wouldn't mind too much" she reminded him, shooting a rather pointed glare back at the others.
Alex blew a puff of frosty air before he neared some trees. He placed Fawn at the base of the tree and straightened up. "We'll rest here for now then move again."
"Just stating the obvious." Claire smirked holding her hands up in mock surrender. "But make sure we're invited to the wedding." Alice hid an amused smirk while Amber stared bewildered at Claire, scared for Claire's fate.
Alex glared at Claire before pulling out a machete and walking into the forest. He started cutting down branches for fire wood.
