It usually depends on the spot on where you get the tattoo I have some myself they did hurt regardless.. Anyone who tells you they don't hurt.. They're lying cause they really hurt its like something you can't describe but just take your time with getting one and make sure it's that right one you want
Iv got 2 tattoo's one on my hand and one on my wrist. i personally didn't find either painful. In fact the tattoo man gave me 2 free tongue bars… i might sound like a pain freak. But im not the slightest im a 5ft girly girl. But i've known some people to have tattoo's and say it kills like a bitch. I think its more in your head, the fear that its going to hurt so much. The pain isn't unbareable and you haven't got anything to worry about, that'll make it worse. And be careful with chinese lettering sometimes it doesnt translate properly. So you think your getting peace and then it turns out it says pot noodle.
I was a shop girl for a year, 12 tattoos & I can honestly say the top on the foot is quite painful. The thigh swells a couple hours in & becomes a nightmare, i think the outer thigh is a bit less painful. The others didn't really hurt, they were more annoying than painful. Along with bony places - thin skinned spots are usually not fun -behind the knee & inner elbow. It really just comes down to how bad you want it & how well you handle pain.
I got one between my shoulderblades and somewhat over them. I enjoyed when they were tattooing the lines, not a lot of pain, just a burning feeling. I compare it with when someone keeps rubbing your skin at the same place over and over, with some pressure. I didn't like the shading tho.
I had one on top of my hand back in the day. It didn't hurt at all, I just had to lick my hand for a while.
Ribs and foot are painful. All of it is bearable though. It's an addictive pain. The only way I can describe it is it's like having a wasp drag it's sting across you. The outlining hurts most but it basically numbs the inside so when you do have it filled in, if you do, it'll hurt less.
This was very interesting. I don't have a tattoo, but I have always wanted one. I just can't seem to find something I want permanently.
I hvent read the whole thread idk if sum1 mention already, U should also look into the healing process of it and aftercare, sumtimes it can be very complicated or sumtimes just red for a while, thats more important than the actually pain of the tatt
Any tattoo on the bony areas of your body will hurt the pain will feel like you have a sunburn and someone is rubbing sandpaper on it or someone holding a lighter to your skin and carving letters with it.The forearm and muscle is the best place for a first tat
I have 3 and the first is at the top of my back which was what your getting (Chinese writing) which didn't hurt but was a strange feeling when I felt the vibrations run down my spine. The other 2 are on my feet which really hurt. Felt like burning and scratching I guess. I have torn the ligaments in my right ankle which he said effected the tattoo and pain so I suggest if you have any injuries like that don't have a tattoo there. Overall the pains not too bad or everyone wouldn't keep going back for more
