Chicken teriyaki rolls are good. I've had some great veggie rolls with a peanut sauce but they vary depending in where you go. Yam tempura rolls, gyoza, if you like crab, spider rolls are super delicious. I'm pretty spoiled with the quality of sushi we have here. I'm weary of trying much sushi when i travel but you can't really go wrong with non-fish sushi
As I said, inari is rly yummy. It's like a sweet tofu casing around the rice. A lot of ppl like egg nigiri (some famous sushi dood from Japan said he judges a sushi restaurant based on how good their tamago nigiri is). Cucumber and avocado and yam are also popular fillings, at some places they come deep fried and extra yummy. Miso soup is also a good side if the restaurant doesn't use fish in the broth (which you have to ask about cuz they usually won't tell you on the menu)
As I said, the only requirement is the (vinegar covered sushi) rice. Nothing has to be raw, raw fish is just a popular kind of sushi.
EVERYTHING. My dream is to even eat at a conveyor belt sushi shop and have the money to eat everything.
