Zoey pulled up as close to the gate as she could get and rolled down her window. "Well!? Are you gonna open the damn gate or what?" she yelled. A teenage doorman, who was wearing a green uniform that was at least 3 sizes too large, timidly approached the car, obviously intimidated by the unfamiliarity of the car and its driver. "I-I'm sorry, Miss, but I'm not allowed to let anyone in without checking with the Scottsdales first," he mumbled. "Then what the hell are you waiting for? Do it!" Zoey shouted impatiently. "Yes, ma'am!" the doorman said in a weak voice, pulling a walkie-talkie out of his pocket. "Wait! What's your name?" he asked Zoey hesitantly. "Whitney Porter. Not that it's any of your business," she replied coldly, "but I'm Jacob's girlfriend. He's expecting me." Nodding quickly, the doorman pushed a button and hurriedly stammered into the walkie-talkie, "Miz-Ms. Scottsdale? I'm s-sorry to bother you, but there's a-a, um, Whitney P-Porter here to see M-Mr. Scottsdale. She says she's his, um, g-girlfriend." A loud scream bubbled through the static of the walkie-talkie. "Oh my GOSH!! What are you waiting for, William? Let her in! Let her in!" "Right away, Ms. Scottsdale," he said shakily. He returned the walkie-talkie to his pocket and opened the gate. Turning to Zoey, he said sincerely, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Ms. Porter. "Whatever," Zoey snapped as she rolled up the window and sped to the top of the driveway. There were two other cars parked in the driveway: a red Porsche that she recognized as Jacob's, and a baby blue Ferrari that she assumed was his sister's. Zoey got out of the car and was about to walk up to the front door when she got a better idea. Slowing her pace, she checked to make sure the doorman wasn't looking before subtly, but forcefully, kicking each car with the heel of her shoe, making a small, barely noticeable dent in each. Smirking, she kicked Jacob's car again, leaving a much bigger dent this time. "That's what you get for being an asshole, Jacob Scottsdale," she muttered as she strutted up to the front door. Before she had even reached the porch, the door was flung open and a squealing girl who looked to be about 19 with too-straight blonde hair, too-tight clothes that revealed too much and too bright makeup ran out and enfolded Zoey into a too-awkward hug. Everything about this girl was too extreme for Zoey's liking. "Oh! My! GOSH! Whitney! HIIII! I am SOO unbelieveably excited to see you! I'm Jake's sister, Katherine, but my friends, including YOU, Whit, call me Kat! Oh I'm just SO happy to FINALLY meet you! I just know we're gonna be BFFs!" she screamed excitedly. "Yeah, okay, um, first of all," Zoey said, taking a step back, "KATHERINE, my name is WHITNEY. And you need to take whatever this whole excitement, BFF crap is, and bring it down a notch. Actually, many notches. You know, why don't you just stop it altogether?" she said, smiling a bright, fake smile. "Anyway," Zoey continued as she wandered into the house, "I'm here to see Jacob, not you. So if you'll excuse me..." Kat looked stung for a moment, but she quickly recovered. "Yeah! Of course! I mean, OBVIOUSLY you're here to see Jacob! Silly me. Well, I'll just show you where his room is and then I'll give you two some privacy," she said with a knowing smile. "Yeah, that's not gonna be necessary. I'm perfectly capable of finding his room by myself," Zoey said haughtily as she turned on her heel and stalked off, leaving a crushed Kat staring after her.
Hahaha I tried updating and it deleted so I had to rewrite:/ a couple lines got left out bc I couldn't remember sorry
Jacob's room wasn't hard to find. The door was slightly ajar and she could hear him playing some video game. Zoey paused just long enough to take a steadying breath before pushing the door open and walking briskly inside. At the sound of the door slamming behind Zoey, Jacob spun around in his chair to face her. His entire face lit up when he saw her. Zoey recognized that look. It was the way he had once looked at Ryleigh. It was the way he should STILL be looking at Ryleigh. "Whit! Hey," Jacob said, leaning in to hug her, but stopping when he noticed how she looked. "Your hair...it's not blonde anymore...when did you dye it?" "Really, Jacob? You don't even recognize your girlfriend?" Zoey said, pushing her sunglasses on top of her head to reveal her hazel eyes instead of Whitney's ice blue eyes. "Oh wait, I'm sorry. I meant the girl you're cheating on my best friend with, since you obviously never broke up with Ryleigh. So I guess my real question is do you honestly not recognize your girlfriend's best friend?" "Zoey!? What the hell are you doing here? Who let you in?" Jacob said, panicking. "Jacob, Jacob, Jacob," Zoey said in a condescending, sing-songy voice as she walked in circles around his chair. "I don't think that's very important. What's important is that you broke my best friend's heart. You messed with her. And I don't like when people mess with my friends, Jake. You, of all people, should know that. I mean, you only dated her for three years!" She paused, letting Jacob absorb her words before she continued. "Let's just say, when you mess with Ryleigh Summers, you mess with Zoey Mason. And messing with Zoey Mason is NOT a very smart to do. You better watch your back, Jacob Scottsdale, because there's NOTHING Zoey Mason likes better than revenge, and unfortunately for you and your whore, she's good at it. I suggest you tell your b**** to sleep alone and with one eye open. Because I find out she's sleeping with you, I'll kill her. If she sleeps with both eyes closed, I'll kill her. If I get BORED, I'll kill her, and THEN, I'll come after you, too. Word of advice: don't try to hide because I WILL find you. And then, I'll be angry that you tried to run. You know what happens when Zoey gets angry?" Zoey paused. Jake just stared at her with a terrified look on his face. Smiling wickedly, she said, "Now I understand your IQ is smaller than a three-year-old's, but it's VERY simple, Jacob. Let me explain: angry Zoe equals no more Jake and Whitney! So I suggest you don't make me angry, and right now, you're not doing a very good job of that." With that, Zoey turned around and was gone before Jacob could even think of what to say.
