Update!!!!! Peyton's point of view: I was sitting in a room at a computer looking up tabs for a song I was learning on guitar when the police officer who brought me in the station entered. He looked at me and said,"Well looks like it's your lucky day kid. Your dad is here." I got up and walked through the door and froze when I saw which dad he meant. I turned around to go back but the police officer was standing behind me. I mumbled under my breath,"Shit. Damn. Fuck." I knew the police officer heard me because he was trying not to laugh and I sighed and turned back around to face my "impending death". Dad was standing in his army stance looking out the window and I slowly and thought I was quiet but apparently not because dad, without turning around, said,"Let's go for a little drive. There's some things I want you to know."
Zack's point of view: Peyton and I left the police station and got in the car. I cranked up the car and started driving back to the school. He didn't say a word. I pulled into the school and killed the engine and got out. Peyton got out a little slower and said,"Dad what are we doing here?" I didn't answer his question I just simply said,"Come on." He followed behind me to the doors of the school and I beat on the doors until the security guard came out. He looked at me and said,"Zack McGee. Never thought you would be back at this school again." I nodded remembering that I had said I would never come back to this hell hole and I said,"Yeah well things change. I wanna show my son some things. Is that alright?" The guard nodded,"Yeah come on in." I motioned Peyton on in and followed behind him and the guard flipped the lights on. I walked to the spot where Jerame and I had fought and where he beat my ass. I looked at Peyton and said,"This spot right here is where I fought your real dad. Your mom and I had just broken up and he went after her like she was property he could buy. I called him out and we fought. He beat my ass but at least I was trying to protect your mom." I watched Peyton's expressions and he had gotten pale and his expression was complete shock. We went to more places around the school and I told him about each place. We finally got back down to where we entered in at and I took him to the courtyard and sat at the first table,"Sit down Peyton." He sat across from me and I said,"Right were you are sitting is where I was sitting 17 years and 7 months ago when your mom told me she was pregnant with you. All this may not seem so important to you but the things that seem so insignificant are usually the most important things in your life. I've remembered every little thing and every little detail about you and your brother and sister. Just because you're not my child biologically doesn't mean I don't think of you as my child. You're always going to be my son. There's one more place on this campus that I need to show you." I got up and so did Peyton and he followed me to the parking lot where we had parked. I stopped by the driver side and turned to Peyton,"Right here is where I proposed to your mom a few days after she told me she was pregnant with you. I didn't think about whether you were my kid or not. I wanted to be able to take care of you and your mom and I knew I wanted to be with her until I died. I wanted us to be a family and the fact that she was pregnant made everything more worth while. Peyton I'm sorry that we never told you about your real dad but you have to understand. We didn't want you to be like him. He's not the best role model in the world. I'm not either but at least I've tried to be a good influence to you. That's all I've got to say. I want you to choose. Do you want to go back home to Georgia with me or stay here in Mississippi with Jerame?"
