Peyton's point of view: I hated leaving Kate. We only had 4th and 5th period together and it wasn't enough for me. She was my world. She's what keeps me from going completely insane. I walked upstairs and right when I walked in the room the bell rang. Mrs. Johnson looked up at me and said,"Saved by the bell again huh Peyton?" I nodded my head and said,"Yes mam. Isn't the bell just such a glorious thing." Everybody started laughing at my sarcasm and Mrs. Johnson rolled her eyes and said,"Just try to make it to class before the bell rings next time." I nodded my head again and sat and said,"Yes mam." Mrs. Johnson went back to checking roll and Chase tapped my shoulder. I turned around and Chase asked,"So how long have you and Kate been together?" I laughed a little and said,"Today is our two year anniversary." Chase looked at me and said,"Dang well what did you get her?" I smiled and pulled out the box and opened it revealing a promise ring with a beautiful diamond on it and an engraving on the inside of the band saying 'I promise to love you. Forever.' Chase let out a low whistle,"Dang boy. You showing all of us guys with girlfriends up." I laughed and said,"No I'm not trying to do that. I just wanna show Kate that I love her and I'm serious about our relationship." Chase looked at me and back at the ring and said,"Well if that don't get it I don't know what will." I was about to say something else but Mrs. Johnson got up and said,"Alright class let's begin."
Kate's point of view: I watched the clock all during 1st period. I couldn't help it I wanted to see Peyton. The bell finally rang and I jumped up and grabbed my stuff and went out the door. I walked toward the stairs and felt someone grab my arm. I turned around and saw that it was Peyton. I hit his arm,"What are you doing?" He kissed me and said,"Walking you to your next class." He grabbed my hand and we walked to my next class and again he kissed me before I went in. The same thing happened going to my 3rd period class. After 3rd period we walked to our anatomy class and one of the ladies in the office came on the intercom and said,"Will you please send Peyton McGee to the office."
Peyton's point of view: "....send Peyton McGee to the office." I looked at Kate who was looking at me like what the **** did you do this time?! I looked at Kate and shrugged and my anatomy teacher gave me a pass to go to the office. I had gotten into trouble before I came to Neshoba and when I met Kate I stopped all that because I wanted to make a good impression on her and date her. I started walking towards the office wondering what the **** I was getting called for. When I got halfway to the office I saw my brother and sister walking to the office too. Shit. I caught up to them and they turned and Garrett asked,"What are we going to the office for?" I shrugged and said,"I have no idea." We walked on to the office in silence and when we got there our parents were sitting in the office talking with the principal. They turned and I asked,"What's going on?" My mom looked at my dad and my dad sat there a minute and said,"We're gonna be moving back to Georgia tomorrow. Since today is Friday it'll be easier to pack. I'm sorry Peyton. I know how much you love Kate but we have to do this. You and Kate have a strong relationship. I'm sure you two can keep up yalls relationship."
