Part 50: Jenna's Point of View "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Carter shouted as he jumped on my bed. I groaned and rolled over. "Ohh no you don't. Come on birthday girl, your donkey needs to get UP! Say hello to the flowers! Try not to kill them with your morning breath .. seriously. It reeks. I laughed and pushed him off of my bed. "Carter, go away!" He smiled. "I let you sleep in 20 minutes! I'm going to get there 15 minutes before class instead of 25. ALL FOR YOU." "Fine. Leave so I can get dressed." I laughed. Carter quickly scrambled out of the room. I got ready quickly and skipped down the stairs. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Mom and dad both shouted from the kitchen. There was a basketball-shaped cake out on the counter. We had cake for breakfast on birthdays. "Thanks!" I smiled. I loved my parents. They're the coolest. After eating cake, my parents gave me a big hug and told me that they were sorry they couldn't be there later on. I understood. I mean, dad is a professional basketball player. That's bound to have many long distance trips. "Come on Jen. It's time to go." Carter said. We got into the car, and drove off to school. Once at school, I opened my locker to get my books out, but an avalanche of cards spilled out of it, onto the floor. Everyone knew me as Zach Bennett's daughter, Carter Bennett's little sister. I couldn't just be Jenna. But, it got me a lot of birthday cards from random people I had never even talked to. It was really weird. I picked them up one by one, deciding I would open them with Sydney. Speaking of Sydney, I heard her before I saw her. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY LOVE!" She shouted. I rolled my eyes and smiled to myself. She was such an odd ball. "Ready to open some cards?" She asked with a smile. We walked to the cafeteria and sat down at one of the tables, splitting the card piles in half. "Ouh! Jenna, this is cute!" She squealed and tossed me a card. My eyes scanned over the words. Wow, whoever wrote this had beautiful handwriting. "Happy 16th! I hope you have a great day I can't wait for tonight! -Owen." "You have a date with Owen?!" Sydney asked. I nodded. "Yeah, he's taking me out for my birthday." I replied. "Awwh! You are SO cute." She was boy crazy. Absolutely boy crazy. I handed it back to her and we started opening them again. "If you were mine, I would do sweet things with you. Watch movies, always have my arms around you. Leave my phone on 24/7 so that when you needed me, I'd answer. I would never cheat, because no true gentleman does. I'd open doors for you, but not make you feel like a glass doll. I'd tell you how gorgeous you are everyday. I'd listen to any problems you have, and I'd care. I would care because I want you to fall in love with me, because I would be the luckiest guy ever if you did. I would never hurt you, and if I accidentally did, I'd be the first to apologize. I'm not just saying this because I think it's what you want to hear, I mean it. I would protect you from everything I could. I would kiss you in the rain, play with your hair, kiss you on the cheek, give you Eskimo kisses, hold your hand. If you were mine, I would never let you go without a fight." My eyes were fighting back tears. This was incredibly sweet. I looked at the bottom. "Happy birthday, Heaven."

Part 51: Mason's Point of View I watched from my locker as she opened the cards one by one with her friend. Sydney? A smile grew on my face when I saw her opening the letter I wrote her. O had written it last night when I was lying awake thinking about her. Something I always do at night, just picture her. The was she blushes and gets nervous whenever I'm around her. That look of surprise she gets when I do something unexpected. Her face when it lights up when I get a problem right. Her body shifted, her eyes searched around until they met mine. My lips curled up into a smiled that she returned. 'Thank you'. Jenna mouthed. Anything for you, Heaven. Owen's Point of View I saw Jenna smiling over at something. She had such a beautiful smile. It lit up my day when I saw it. I've had a crush on Jenna for almost a year now, I couldn't shake it. She was just too beautiful. Later on, I'm taking her to the docks, I was going there after school to set up a picnic. Last night I had made her favorite kind of cake, Carter told me. I just wanted her birthday to be special. She deserves it. She deserves the world, and I think I can give it to her.
