Part 48: Jenna's Point of View My eyes widened. I wasn't expecting that. I shook my head. "No, Mason. That's not fair." He raised an eyebrow. "It's not fair to me." I whispered. Tears were stinging at my eyes. "How?" He asked. "You tell me to date other people, but yet you're everywhere I go. I can't get you out of my head. And now you show up randomly in the middle of the night, come into my room, and expect me to kiss you." By this point tears were racing down my cheeks. I just didn't understand. My vision was blurred after all of my tears. "Shh. Heaven, it's okay." Strong arms wrapped around me. I tried to shake him off, but he was too strong. "No, it's not." I whispered. "It's not okay Mason." His fingers ran through my hair as he cooed soothing phrases into my ear. "It's all right, Heaven. Shh babe. You're okay." He kept going. "I won't let anything hurt you.." I believed him. My heart felt safe with Mason, even though I knew it wasn't. When I told Mason how I felt about him, it was like I had handed him a knife and said 'Wound me, cause me pain'. His lips pressed softly against my temple. "You look tired." Mason's voice was soft, comforting. I couldn't speak through all of my tears. "Heaven, your body is shaking." He sounded worried. "That .. happens .. when .. I .. cry.." I said in-between sniffles. He sighed and wrapped his arms around me tighter. Mason's body shifted so that he was laying down on his back, with my head resting on his chest. "You need some sleep." He said softly as he started playing with my hair. I nodded and closed my eyes. "Don't go." I whispered. "I won't leave until you fall asleep." He promised me. I felt myself drifting off to sleep, quickly. But my ears heard something. Whether they were making it up, or I actually heard it, I wasn't sure. "I love you, Heaven. More than you could ever imagine.."
Part 49: Jenna's Point of View I felt warm. Secure. Safe. The sun shown brightly into my room, causing me to sit up. But something tugged me back down. My eyes felt heavy, like I had been crying a lot. "Humph." A grumble? What? I rubbed my eyes lazily and looked down. Hands were resting across my stomach. Arms were wrapped around my body. What? My eyes shifted and glanced behind me. I knew that face. That hair, that sharp angular jawlines. Dark features. Mason. He was sound asleep, snoring lightly. Why was he still here? Why didn't he go home after I fell asleep? Should I wake him up? Part of me just wanted to stay in his arms, let him hold me. But a knock at the door told me not to, "Jenna? Angel? Are you alright?" Dad. "Shiet shiet shiet." I said under my breath. "I'll uh. I'll be out in a minute, Dad!" "Jenna, why's the door locked?" He asked. His voice sounded suspicious. "Hold on Dad!" I'm uh getting changed!" I panicked. "You have 60 seconds." He said. "DUCK!" I swore under my breath. My gaze shifted behind me to Mason. "Mason. Mason." I gently slapped his arm. "Wake up!" This kid doesn't wake up easily. What to do? Ugh. I'll have to. I don't have time to think about this. I shifted my body so that I was facing him and pressed my lips to his. I instantly turned into jello. I could stay like this for eternity. "Mmm." He said against the kiss, a small smile formed on his face as I pulled away. "Good morning to you as well, Heaven." A raspy morning voice. I could just melt right here. His smile transformed into a smirk. "Mason, get your donkey into the closet. My dad is outside the door." I hissed. His eyes widened with fear as my Dad's voice sounded through the door again. "15 seconds, Jenna Elizabeth." "Mason. Now." I said through gritted teeth. He quickly move from my bed and scrambled into the closet. "Coming!" I called to my dad as soon as I saw that mason was completely in the closet. "Good morning dad." I said as I opened the door. He stepped in and looked around. "I heard talking." He said suspiciously. The walls are soundproof? "It was Sydney." I lied. "She was checking on homework." I've never lied to my dad before. He nodded, not fully convinced. "We're leaving the house in 30 minutes to go get some lunch. We're expecting you to join us." He said before walking out. Mason waited for a minute before stepping out of the closet. He reached out and pulled my closer by my hips. "Good morning, Heaven." He said again. My brain instantly clouded with thousands of thoughts racing at a million miles an hour. I pushed him away. "Mason., you wanted this. I didn't. But now we have to. So please, for six months, I need you to stop flirting with me. Stop randomly showing up and confusing me. You can't keep doing that. Please Mason. It's too hard." He nodded simply and gave me one last kiss on the cheek. "Goodbye, Heaven," He whispered.
D'awe. She'll probably end up falling in love with Owen. He'll break her heart...and Mason will get her back? I dunno. All in all, I like this story a lot. It's amazing. Every bit of it makes me want to read more. Keep it up Rosie. :3
