Part 28: Mason's Point of View I can't believe this. I feel hopeless. My own parents didn't want me. It felt like my car was caving in on me, slowly crushing me. Running out of air. I got out of my car. No idea what I was doing here. The cold autumn air burned my throat, filling my lungs but stinging my inside. Tears burned at my eyes. My feet carried me to the door and my hand raised to knock on the dark wood. The door opened and Jenna's Dad, Zach stood in the doorway. "Mason! Hi bud. What can I do for you?" "Jenna." I breathed out. "I need Jenna. Is she here?" His eyes looked at me apologetically. Sympathy. Like he knew something I didn't, and he felt bad for me. "I'm sorry Mason, Jenna isn't - " I didn't listen to the rest he had to say. Instead, I turned around heading back to my car. Muttering thank you, on my way back. Once in my car, I pulled out and slammed my hands down hard on the steering wheel. "F*CK!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I needed to get out of here. Out of this f*cking town. Out of the state. Away from everything I know. Everything that ever lied to me.
