Part 23: Mason's Point of View "See, you divide this by the square root of seven and then multiply it by nine to the sixth power. It's simple." I groaned and put my head in my hands. "I don't know what the f*ck you just said." I grumbled. It had been a week since I asked Jenna to meet me in the park. Nothing had changed between us, I still irritated her as much as she irritated me. It was Friday, at around 5. "You've been trying to explain this sh*t to me for an hour. Can we just take a break?" Jenna raised an eyebrow at me. "Mason, you aren't going to get your homework done if you keep taking breaks." "Maybe I don't want to finish my homework." I retorted. She rolled her eyes and took a deep breath. "Well, what DO you want to do?" A smirk grew on my face. "It involves you, under blankets, in the dark. Any other questions?" She gasped. "You want to show me your new glow in the dark watch?!" What a clever one. "More like my new glow in the dark cond*ms." Jenna raised an eyebrow, she does this a lot around me. "Does that usually work on girls?" What? My expression must have explained my confusion. "Your obvious desire to just get in their pants, with a few corny pickup lines." I thought for a minute and then nodded. "Yep. Nine times out of ten. There's always that occasional girl who wants to, but then she has a friend who totally c*ck blocks me." "Wow. Girls are even more stupid than I thought." I nodded again woth another smirk growing on my face. "Yes. Yes they are." I agreed. "What time is the party you're going to tonight?" She asked curiously. "Are you stalking me now, sophomore?" Jenna's cheeks turned a bright shade of red. "No. I heard you talking to Aiden. You're kind of loud." I chose to ignore her last statement. "Yeah. Aiden and I are going to a party in Seattle. A different one than the one you came to. This one should be more fun. More drinks, more people, he knows the guy that's hosting it. Why?" She shook her head. "No reason. I was just wondering what time you were leaving." "Trying to get rid of me?" "Uh no .. I just. Ugh. You know what? Never mind." Ha. I make her nervous. "I'm sure Aiden wouldn't mind if you tagged along, sophomore." I studied her face. She seemed unsure. "Only if you want to. Doesn't phase me either way." Jenna thought for a minute. I knew she was thinking because she was biting her bottom lip. Which turned me on, to the extreme. After a few minutes, she nodded, slowly. "Sure.." She said. "I mean, why not? Sydney is out of town so I have nothing better to do."
