Part 14: Mason's Point of View To Sami: Yo, can I bring a friend over to your place in like two hours? I got a response about an hour later. Sami was always pretty busy. From Sami: Yeah! I haven't seen you in SO long! Can't wait Mason. A smile crept onto my face as I put my phone away. I got up, putting all of my books back into my backpack. Since I had to be a gentleman this week, I held my hand out to Jenna, to help her up. "Come on! Sami said we could go. It takes like an hour to get there. Let's bounce!" Jenna took my hand and I pulled her up, she was so light. For a moment, I almost didn't take my hand away. But then I reminded myself that she knew where she was going. "So tell me a little bit about her, you know, before I meet her." I looked back and smirked at her. "Well, she has blue eyes and brown hair. She's average height, uhm .. She plays basketball, soccer, and softball uh .. You know, you'll just have to ask her about herself when you two meet. But she's cool. I think of her as my little sister, even though she's my age." Jenna nodded. "Well, if she's anything like you then I don't know.." She trailed off. "I said she's LIKE a little sister to me. I didn't say she WAS my little sister. But no, we're nothing alike. Sami is cool though." Jenna smirked in the passenger's seat. "What?" I asked. She turned to me, her eyes were sparkling. "I think it's cute that you're playing match maker. You actually do care about Carter, despite your little shell of hatred." Her laugh rang into my ears. "It's something different. I like it." I felt a blush creep onto my face. No no no. Mason Parker does not blush. "I don't want to lose any games because his as* is all depressed." Jenna was giving me a suspicious look. That and I can see in her eyes that it was hurting her too. Wait, what? Since when do I care? "Mhmm, suuuure." She drew out her 'U'. "Whatever helps you sleep at night." I turned a corner, looking for oncoming traffic. "NyQuil." I replied simply. "What?" She asked. A smirk grew on my face. "NyQuil. It helps me sleep at night." I could sense her rolling her eyes. Her hand reached forward and turned on the radio. "You are such a smartas*." It took her a minute to realize what was on the radio. "and your taste in music sucks." She giggled. "Ouh. Harsh." 30 minutes later "Are you sure she's home?" Jenna asked. I looked down at her. "Of course she is. Can't you - " I heard the door open and arms flung around my neck, legs wrapped around my waist. "MASON!" I laughed when I realized Sami had just flung herself at me. My arms hugged her tightly. "God, I missed you!" She shrieked. Sami is probably the only person I trust. I tell her everything. Her lips pressed against my cheek. I noticed Jenna standing awkwardly next to me. "I missed you too!" I smiled back at her. Jenna seemed taken back by my happiness. What? I cam be happy and optimistic. Sami let go of her hold on me and stood on the ground again. "Who is this?" She asked, motioning to Jenna. She turned to Jenna and smiled. "You are SO gorgeous! Mason, please tell me you're dating her!" I smirked. "Sami, this is Jenna. Jenna, this is Sami."
Part 15: Jenna's Point of View I smiled and reached to shake her hand. "Don't be silly! We hug in my house!" Her arms wrapped around me in a friendly embrace. Beside me, Mason was laughing. "Here, come in!" She motioned for us to go inside her house. Mason's hand was on the small of my back and led me in, he was following Sami. "Uhm, could I go to the bathroom?" I asked shyly. Mason still had that smirk on his face, but he motioned to where the bathroom was. "It's through there." He said softly, pointing down a hallway. I found the bathroom easily and went in, fixing my hair after I had finished. I turned the corner out of the bathroom. "Mason seriously! Please tell me she's your girlfriend! You two are so cute!" I wouldn't want to date Mason. Would I..? I'm not sure.. "No Sami. She's not my girlfriend." I could tell he was smiling or smirking. "BUT WHY NOT?!" Sami persisted. "I don't even think she lik- look there she is!" I saw Mason sitting on the couch and Sami was standing, she looked very frustrated with him. Mason shot her a warning glance, that he probably thought I wouldn't see, but I did. Sami seemed to get the hint, she shook off the subject. "So Jenna, why did you guys come? Not that I object at all!" I smiled slightly. Mason motioned for me to come sit down next to him. Why was he acting so different? "You can tell her my idea." He whispered to me when I sat down. A shiver ran down my spine when his breath hit my neck. "I uhm - well, Mason thought you and my brother Carter would be good together." This was so awkward to talk about. "THE Carter?" She asked. I raised an eyebrow at Mason. "The one who's dating that girl uhm .. Taylor, was it?" I nodded. "She cheated on him." I shot Mason a glare, and saw him looking down at his hands. "and uhm .. Mason had the idea that you two would be perfect for each other." "What the hell!" She screamed. "My friend Ashley knows him and she's always talking about how nice he is! Wait .. We're talking about Carter Bennett, right?" Mason nodded beside me and stretched his arm so it went on my shoulders. "But she said he's so perfect! Who would want to cheat on him?! Ugh. I would rip that b*tch to pieces." Her eyebrows furrowed. "Sami, calm down. It's all right. That's why we're here." She stopped pacing and looked back at us. "You mean you want me to meet him?" I nodded shyly, Mason's hand rubbed my shoulder, absentmindedly. I'm sure he didn't even realize he was doing it. "Yeah. We would even go with you guys, if you want. So it wouldn't be completely awkward." My eyes widened. Mason and Carter?! Same room? What? Wait .. that means.. Sami seemed to cheer up. "Like a double date?!" Mason looked at me, a twinkle in his eyes and a smirk on his face. "Yeah." He said. "Something like that."
Soo.. apparently I'm silenced, lol. Why, you might ask? For my choice of words I use in this story. Hm.
