Part 10: Jenna's Point of View "Mason. Stop." It was fine for a while, but now he's getting carried away. "Seriously, Mason. I don't want a h*cky." "I'm marking my territory." He murmured and kept kissing my neck. I lightly pushed his head away. "I am NOT yours." I stated firmly. A smirk grew on his face. "You are tonight." I groaned and looked around the room, it was almost empty. "Mason, we should probably go home now." He laid down with his head in my lap. His hand waved me away, as if shooing the idea. "I'm way to drunk to drive." He groaned. "My head hurts." He pouted. "Make it go away." I couldn't help but notice how cute he looked. "Will you bring me home?" Mason's eyes lit up with a gleam of hope. "I don't have my license. I'm still only in Driver's Ed." He took my hand in his and laced our fingers together. "I don't care. Just please bring me home." He whined. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. From Carter: Jenna. I need you home. As soon as possible. "Okay. Let's go Mason." He sat up with his head just barely off my lap, letting me get up. I got up and started walking towards the door. "Jenna!" He called. I turned to find Mason still laying on the couch. He held his hands up. "Please help me." Please?! Well, that's new. "Is it weird that my hands sweat?" He asked. I grabbed his hands and pulled him up. Holy crap he's heavy. But he always seems so light. His arm went around my shoulder. "You're a really good person, you know that?" His words were slurred. "And you're nice. And sooo pretty." Suddenly, he stopped. "Sh*t!" We were outside of the party. Mason's arms tore away from my shoulders and he ran into the trees. I heard a hurling sound. A minute later he came back. "Do you .. have any gum? My breath tastes gross. Like vomit." His nose crinkled up. I sighed and took my pack of gum out of my pocket. His eyes widened when I gave him a piece. "You're like a gum fairy!" He smiled. "Thank you." Please and thank you?! Someone pinch me. Mason opened the door to the car and plopped down in the passenger's seat. I got in on the driver's side. Remember what they told you Jenna. "Keys?" I asked after I finished adjusting the mirror. "They're in my pocket." I looked over, waiting for him to get them. "Feel free to reach in my pants and get them whenever you want." I shook my head. "Just give me the keys, Mason." He sighed and dug them out, handing them to me. Mason fell asleep on the ride home. We went to his house and he went straight up to his room. "Good night Jenna." He called down the stairs. "Good night Mason." I replied softly. I took my phone out and went outside. "Hey Carter .. Yeah .. Can you come pick me up? .. Okay .. See you soon?" Five minutes later, Carter's Range Rover pulled up in the driveway. My mom always said that dad had one too, which is why Carter got one. "Hey sis." I looked over at Carter in the driver's seat. His eyes were red and puffy. He had definitely been crying. "Hi Carter." I smiled up at him. He tried to return it, but it failed. His smiles never fail. "I don't know what you girls call it .. but tonight, ice cream, chocolate and cake are my best friends. It's time to mend a broken heart."

Part 11: Jenna's Point of View I woke up to the sun shining brightly in my eyes. My hands flew up and wiped the sleepy seeds out of the corners. I looked around. There were empty ice cream cartons and chocolate wrappers everywhere. Carter was passed out ok the floor right next to me. I feel so bad for him. He is head over heels in love with Taylor, but she dumped him. His heart was broken. It was putting me in pain, seeing him in pain. I lethargically got up and walked towards the bathroom. I fixed my ponytail and then looked back in the mirror. I had a h*cky on my neck. My phone vibrated in my pocket, I fell asleep in jeans last night. From Mason: As promised, I have to be a gentleman all week. So, here it goes: Thank you for driving me home last night. I really appreciate it. I was obviously too fuc- I mean, messed up to remember anything. So, thanks. I felt a smile creep onto my face. I like the polite Mason, he's more respectful. A noise came from the living room. "Tay? Why are you here?!" Carter's voice. My head peeked out around the corner. Carter was standing, shirtless at the front door. He looked like sh*t, Taylor was fine. I know it's wrong, but I decided to listen in on their conversation. "Look Carter, I just felt like I needed to stop by and explain why I broke up with you.." I had always liked Taylor, and I was so sure they were going to get married one day. "Yeah. Why's that?" This was killing him, to have to relive her breaking up with him. "I uhm .. I cheated on you." I could feel Carter's heart stop. My own heart stopped. "With Mason.. I just realized that if we were supposed to be together, I wouldn't have done it." I could feel his heart ripping apart. It's our brother-sister connection. "I just, well .. he was really drunk at this party and I was a little .. you know, and he's known for sleeping around so .. yeah. I just, I know you wanted to wait until marriage, and I respect that so -" I stepped out from around the corner and pushed the door shut. "Goodbye Taylor." I hissed at her. My gaze turned to Carter. He was sitting on the floor, his knees hugged into his chest, slowly rocking himself back and forth. "I just - I .. I can't believe she would do that.." I sat down next to him and rubbed his back. "Carter, did dad ever tell you about his new girlfriend?" He shook his head. "You know that you are a miniature version of dad, right?" He nodded. "Dad's first girlfriend cheated on him, he became depressed, didn't eat, sleep, talk.. One night he went to a party with Uncle Josh, and you know dad, he doesn't drink .. So there was this kid named Blake Collins, that needed a ride home, dad gave him one, on the way home a drunk driver hit them. Dad's head smashed against the steering wheel, so hard he has permanent brain damage." Carter interrupted me. "What does that have to do with anything? I already know dad loses his memory everyday from 12:50 a.m. - 3:00 a.m. We've been over it many times." He seemed to be getting annoyed. "My point is that after that happened, he was insanely depressed for two whole years. Until he met mom. The day he met mom, something inside of him just clicked and mended. And look how happy they are. Honestly, have you ever seen them fight?" He shook his head. "Jenna, what's your point?" "My point is that, there is someone out there for you. That is 100% perfect for you and compatible for you. You just need something to believe in."
