4 months later... The wedding was small. Only a few people came. My parents did come... same with Rafe's... Mackenzie came and I was glad he was with Julia. I might prefer this than a huge event and having to plan very hard for when I get married," she said and she looked away from Mackenzie. My mother was crying and my father was settling her down. I went over to them. "Mother? Father?" My mother turned around and when she saw me she burst into tears. "Mother? I know you're unhappy about what happened... but I'm happy and I want you to be happy for me too. Mackenzie and everyone else are happy for me too!" "Katherine... I never said I was unhappy for you," she said. "I'm crying because I'm so glad you're smiling and happy. You haven't been like this in such a long time... It's wonderful." I began to tear up and I hugged her. "Mom!" She held me tight and kissed my cheek. "Congratulations Katherine. I'm glad you found your true happiness." "Thank you." After that she and my father went to see Mackenzie... which must've been awkward for both of them. "HEY THERE MRS.CARTIER!!" shouted a voice. The person lifted me up and spun me around and kissed my forehead. "Lyle!" "You know I'm really jealous! The two people I really love are now married... Jeez how uncool is that!" he laughed. "I'm really happy for you," he said and he kissed my forehead again. "Haha, thanks!" This was really great. I was finally married to the one I loved and was now able to continue a great life. I was finally happy again...
