"Katherine!" I heard him shout after me. "Please! Wait!" "Katherine?" It was Josh. He was with Jillian. I quickly ran into their arms. "What's wrong?" "I... I can't stand," I said falling a bit. My head was in pain and I felt weak all over my body. "Katherine..." said Josh quietly. "Katherine!" "Mr.Cartier?" said Jillian. "Josh... Jillian... please let me speak to Katherine," he said. "Katherine there's a misunderstanding that I need to Dort out with you. Please let me speak to you," he begged. "Mr.Cartier... I think she wants to be alone right now," said Josh. He patted my head and lifted me up into his arms. "Didn't she come and speak to you this morning? You should consider what she said and just leave her alone." "Come on, Josh," said Jillian. "Alright," he said and he followed Jillian. "Is he gone?" I asked. "Yes. We're taking you to the infirmary. You collapsed on Josh," said Jillian. "Are you feeling alright? What happened?" "Mr.Cartier... Alanna..." I said quietly. "Mr.Cartier is dating Alanna from class C," I said softly. "That cheat!" said Josh. "No Josh... he isn't a cheat. He and I were never a couple. He never accepted my feelings. He doesn't love me at all!" "It's okay. I don't believe that. I mean he said it was a misunderstanding didn't he. He could've meant that it wasn't Alanna that he loved it was you," said Jillian. "Right Josh?" "Uh... sure! That's what could've happened!" I laughed. "Thanks guys, but I'm sure that that's not what happened, but I still really love him... no matter what the truth is..."
"Understand something!" it was my mother. The nurse had called her because I was in the infirmary and sick. "What...?" I asked softly. "You have no right to leave the house and go to some random strangers home!" "Jillian is my friend mother. Not a stranger. You are more of a stranger than she is," I replied. "You have no friends! Since Mackenzie's death you have had no friends! No one wanted to be the friend of a gloomy, moody and disgraceful girl like you! And don't you dare say I'm a stranger! That girl and that boy are nothing but trouble and you will do better with out them." "Shut up!" I shouted at her. "You have no idea what my life is like and why goes on! You are never home Nf neither is father! You say I have no friends but that's fine! Jillian and Josh are like my family! They are more caring about me than you and father combined and that is just sad!" "How dare you!" she screeched and she sent me a hard slap across the face, but by now I was used to it. "Ha! Is that the best you can do mother? Just slap me across the face and I'll stop?" She hit me again. And started crying. "God! When did you become like this?! WHEN?!" "Miss Revant please!" said the nurse. She tried helping my mother out of the room but my mother struggled. "Let go! This is between me and my daughter!" "Please! Just wait outside for a while and I'll let you back in!" said the nurse. She quickly pushed my mother out and came to me. "Are you alright?" she asked. "I'm fine," I replied. "She's always like this." "Would you like me to call someone? Your father maybe?" "No. I want to be alone right now. If you don't mind," I said quietly. "Just for a while..." I whispered. "Yes miss," said the nurse and she quickly left the room locking the door behind her probably so my mother couldn't get in. Finally... I was alone... Alone at last.
