Zahcary92. My-dorm-name aka Amanda isn't a mod. Ski "resigned" ( cause he took the players side and other various activities) But yeah I'm shocked still at the new mod selection. On a new note.. Heard mixed reviews on applez.
My opinion on the new mods.....Just because you don't see them on campus all the time doesn't mean they aren't helpful to the community. Just because they aren't addicted to posting in forums doesn't mean they aren't helpful. Are people trying to say they are signed on 24/7 sitting watching campus to see if people are helpful? Lol give me a break! I don't know MrsBosen so I can't say. Nekkie: he is very nice and very helpful. He's helped a lot of players and has been around since the beginning. I've been in a few clubs with him now and he is always willing to help people. So yes I feel he will make a great mod and I'm very happy he is one! He knows the rules. Congrats Nekkie! Applez: she is a sweetheart and has also been around since the beginning. I know many people in her club Zircon Universe and she is always willing to help people. She has helped many people in the community to grow as well as helped new players out with the game. She will make a great mod! Like I stated above, just cause you don't see them doesn't mean they aren't there or aren't helpful. Doesn't mean they won't make a great mod. She also knows the rules. Congrats Applez! Just_A_Face_In_The_Crowd: he is very nice and like the others has helped the community. He is also very funny! Congrats Boot Licker And as far as having many mods in Republic....who cares! Because we are a fun active club and have a lot of members, doesn't mean there is any favoritism for being a mod because of it. Yes we have a few mods but that doesn't mean that's why Nekkie got it. Nekkie got it because he deserved it. You have to fill out an application to become mod. Many people apply, it's like being hired for a job. It's a hard process and only a few are selected. So obviously the mods chosen have what ATA are looking for. There is a process for applying and the selection. I believe there is multiple steps that possible applicants have to go through and a few different applications they have to fill out. They don't just fill out one application and then just wait. If ATA likes the first application they then send them another with different questions. Overall, the new mods I mentioned will be a great help to the community. They are also very active!
I think the community should have a say. Hopefully, ATA will find a way to get our unbiased opinions. But being the human beings we are, it's probably not going to happen. :[
Alright cool. I'm just speaking from my point of view considering I'm op. The only one I've seen helping is face. We all have our different experiences.
Also to add on to your novel. The current mod team does have somewhat of an Influence. So being in republic isn't just a coincidence. now this is gettingfun again
I think that some players, who do not have the moderator position, are better off not having it. Some are quite helpful, and I also believe that helpfulness stems from a want to be a moderator. That's some people's drive. However, those people would not do well in the position for different reasons (case by case basis). I think it's best to have those players continue as they are. Leave the hopes of being mod, but the player will do a lot more for the community when s/he isn't green. Also, there's a sort of balance between mods and players who have been trying to get the position. Often times, moderators are swamped with requests surrounding silences. The people who get the majority of game mechanics questions are the ones who aren't doing the silencing. It takes the load off both parties when they don't have to do both jobs. As for the new moderators... No clue about MrsBosen. Haven't seen nor heard of her helping. Same with Applez. However I'm sure Face and Nekkie will do well.
No choice of mod will ever satisfy everyone. Someone will always find something to complain about. Even if they are dumb complaints
