If 'handegg'  that still cracks me up...is about whacking people and being big, then surely that means it's for meatheads whilst football is for those with talent and skill? We don't use the term 'soccer' here. We use 'football' to define the beautiful game and just add 'American' to the start to name the silly version 

 

Now rugby they don't wear any protective gear  - just saying (no helmets or shoulder pads)

Football (aka soccer ) is Planet Earth's sport like it or not. It's the most played sport, the sport with the most teams and players, and the sport with billions of fans WorldWide that Watch and Practice the sport. Not just national..

I Love and Play Football (soccer ) and wouldn't and would never trade it for American Football.
