Due to the nature of this kind of game a server can only last a finite amount of time before there is a clear winner and there's no more point in progressing. As a result there will probably be many servers along with new servers starting frequently so if you chose to continue playing you'd probably have ended up restarting a few times regardless...

 

It is so everyone starts off with nothing. Best idea to be honest with you. So no one gets any big advantage.
