  1. WTH LOL THIS STILL GOING?

Too bad I don't have the motivation to read 30 plus pages.

  2. The Bible was also used for centuries to promote and defend slavery.

Bottom line: marriage is a civil contract. It is not a religious institution that gets to be controlled by churches. Therefore, it is a civil rights issue.

As a civil contract, there hundreds of enumerated rights married couples have that unmatched couples do not. There is no reason to deny these rights and privileges to same sex couples beyond church bigotry.

  3. Ok, I'm too lazy to read all these pages.

Marriage, of some form, has been around longer than Christianity so the whole bible argument is out there window. Not everyone has the hehe same beliefs so using one persons religion to hold another person back is silly.

Who cares who marries who. It doesn't hurt anyone and it's going to make people who finally have rights happy.

  4. If you're rude to your parents, you shall be stoned to death.
If a wife cheats on her husband she shall be stoned to death.
People with leprosy shall be banished outside the city, and must yell "Unclean, unclean" whenever someone comes near them.

These are just a few of them many, many, laws that were instituted in the Bible. Do we still follow them? No. Do we see them as ridiculous? Yes. Why? Because we have become more civilized over the millenniums since these antiquated laws were instituted.

And no nation has ever been destroyed because they were homosexual. That's just laughable. That same Bible tells you that the sins of Sodom and Gomorah was that they were greedy and inhospitable to strangers.

Should gay marriage be legalized? Yes it should, all over the world, and sooner rather than later..

In Canada we legalized it in 2005, and still haven't had "fire and brimstone" rained upon us.

  5. Ninja and prince, awesome comments 

  6. Ninja and Prince, thank you. You brought good points to this.

I just find it strange how people ignore that stuff. Then... They go on to make their own points... The same ones as before.

  7. This is still going?

  8. You either really support it or are really against it  I see no problem with it, it's just a personal thing to show commitment by law.

  9. Just the simple fact that two people aren't allowed to be together just because they're of the same gender is just inhumane.

As lady brought up in the first few pages, love is blind.

Love is not a choice, and that's just the bottom line.

  10. ?Ehhh, I find it something like... Good for thought when waking up this morning.

Reminds me that I should do my best today to treat everyone equally. Not just the usual .-.

I am also surprised this is still up... BUT why wouldn't it be? It is a controversial topic.

I see it this way... Marriage will become legal, then all the people against it will become upset, and finally the world will forget about it. It will become the same thing as slavery and race segregation, history.

  11. No, but if they did get married, it wouldn't bother me.

  12. I kind of know what I'm talking about on both sides of the issue. I had the Bible shoved down my throat for the first 20 years of my life, so I know all the religious and Biblical arguments against homosexuality, and I know the parts of the Bible that most "Christians" ignore today, but that's not what this thread is about
I also know the other side; I'm a bi sexual male, and I've known since puberty that I was attracted to guys as well as to girls, but I fought it for years, because my "religion" taught me that people such as myself were evil and abnormal.

I tried to pray the gay away, but the gay was there to stay.

So I fully support gay marriage as a right of equality.

Do I want to get married to a man? Hell no.
Do I want to get married to a woman? Hell no.
But that gives me no just cause to deny another the right to do so.

  13. For those that want to use the words from the bible. First of all read the whole book BC what you all are looking at is old testimony .its history lol. The new part that we live under is after Jesus came lol.the book explains that. If not we would still live by the law not by the blood who saved us. But that's a different issue. But plz read all before you pick out parts that help your argument.

  14. Living Bible: "Homosexuality is absolutely forbidden, for it is an enormous sin"

New Living Translation: "Do not practice homosexuality; it is a detestable sin.

Living bible. Not the Old Testament. The New Testament

  15. Yes, yes they should 

  16. Im sure its legal in the UK though 

  17.  I have a confession ... I am a lesbian. I'm the butch one and -CA-Wallace is my girl. Obviously I don't go for looks (ugliest chick ever) but Wallace has a great heart. I support Wallace 

  18. Yes ofcourse it should be legalised.
