The sun was beating down hard upon Jodiiee's back. It had been almost a day since the accident, and she had not found anything to eat. "Hello? Is there anyone here? Hello?" She called into the trees as she trudged along the beach. "Anyone to save my sorry and hungry ass?" she mumbled. Beads of sweat were running down her face. The cut that she acquired on her right cheek was burning as the salt from her sweat washed onto it. "Argh, darn it. Now I wish I had gone for those survival courses with my cousin. 'Musicians would never need to survive. Our music will be our survival.' I said to her. Look where I am now! Who on this who-knows-what island will be listening to me sing?!" Jodiiee grumbled and kicked up some sand. "And I feel a little hungover from that glass of martini. How smart of me. I can't drink, and yet I had to order one because the bartender was so gosh darn cute!" "Well then maybe you shouldn't drink to talk to cute guys." "Yeah well, see! I'm now hearing voices. The stupid sun. Making me crazy! If I survive I'm going to stay in Alaska forever! I hate the scorching sun!" "Yeah gives you cancer doesn't it?" "Yeah. That's why I don't like it." she paused. "You know conscience, I never thought you were real. I'm so sorry I never believed Dory in Finding Nemo." She paused again. 'Wait. Why does my conscience sound like a man?' she thought to herself. "Wait. Are you my angel?" Jodiiee looked up at the clouds. "Here to bring me to heaven maybe?" "Erm. I'm not sure why you would think that. Im neither your conscience nor an angel." "What do you mean? You must be one of those. I mean. There's no one around right?" Jodiiee flipped around and her lips found it's place on another pair of lips. They both quickly pulled back. "Oh my God!" Jodiiee instinctively swung her hand and landed her palm on his cheek. "What the-!" the man standing in front of her cussed. "Why'd you slap me?!" "Because you kissed me! And lied about being my angel!" Jodiiee retorted. "What?! First of all, YOU kissed me! Second of all, I never said I was your angel! You happily assumed that while walking straight ahead without turning behind to look!" "Right. Whatever. That wasn't a kiss okay! It was an accidental touching of the lips! I swear!" "Right, whatever." he monotonously replied. Jodiiee paused for a moment. She hadn't noticed how cute this guy was. Pretty brown eyes, short clean cut hair, and in a uniform too. "Okay accidental kissers, can we get moving?!" an Asian lady strode past the both of them. She carried a knife and two pistols on her hip, with another rifle strapped across her back. "You should come with us." the guy lifted a big black bag onto his shoulders. He also had a rifle with him. "Umm. Okay. I don't have anywhere else to go anyway." Jodiiee replied. He nodded. "I'm Josh by the way. And that," he motioned to the Asian who by now was quite a distance ahead "is Naomi." "Jodiiee." "Right. Can you handle a weapon Jodiiee?" "I've done air rifle shooting before. Does that count?" He tossed her a pistol. "We'll see." Josh gave Jodiiee a small smile and marched ahead. Jodiiee followed closely behind. 'At least this is better than singing to myself.' she thought.
Charlie My eyes slowly opened and all I saw was a blur. It slowly started to clear, and I was staring straight into the face of a lady with a lollipop in her mouth. "Ah! You're finally awake! Good." she gave me a smack on my head. "Ninz...?" I managed. She chuckled. "Not bad. You actually remembered my name." She walked to a cupboard and took out some clothes. "Go take a shower and change into these." she tossed them at me. I sat up slowly. "Shower?" Ninz motioned to the opaque glass doors behind me. "Yes, shower. You smell." I nodded weakly. "How long have I been out?" "Not long. About 3 hours. Cyber didn't poke you with one as strong as the previous one." "Right..." "Once you're done, press the blue button at the side of the room, and they'll come get you." "Fine. " Ninz stood at the door and waved her hand over it. It slid open, and she walked out, the door closing behind her. I looked down at the clothes in my hands: a pair of heavy black jeans and an oversized olive green pullover sweater. 'I guess I better do as she says' I thought as I glanced at the blue lighted up button at the end of the room. Ninz Everything was moving according to plan. I made my way down the brightly lit cylindrical corridor. Cyber and Fletch were standing by a glass door waiting for me. "How's the little squirt?" Fletch started. "He's fine." I replied as I glanced at Cyber. He returned the look and gave a slight nod. "Hey! I saw that!" Fletch suddenly exclaimed. " Saw what?" I said. "You had some eye contact! You guys have some thing going on eh?" Fletch smirked. I moved closer to Fletch. "Really?" I whispered, and moved in till my body touched his, and my face was just inches away from him. My finger traced his jawline and my eyes stared straight into his. "We're making eye contact now Fletch." I breathed onto his lips. "Do we have... You know... Something going on?" I could feel his heartbeat racing. "Umm..." "I thought so." I smirked and stepped back laughing. Cyber laughed along and playfully shoved Fletch. His face was as red as a beetroot. "What the hell guys!" Fletch was annoyed. "That's for making presumptions." I winked and waved my hand over the glass door. It opened and we walked through.
Cyber, Ninz and Fletch walked past a series of guards who would salute when they walked past. The guards lined the whole hallway. "Whoa. I feel important!" Fletch exclaimed waving back at the guards. "They're not saluting you Fletch." Cyber broke his bubble. "It's Ninz." "Why? Hey what makes you more important than me huh?" Fletch tried to jab Ninz in the shoulder but an invisible force held his hand in mid-air. "She's the most respected assassin here. The highest ranking of all." "Huh. I bet if I weren't some mercenary, I would have taken her place." Fletch pulled his hand back and rolled his eyes. "Hah! I doubt it!" Cyber broke out into a guffaw. "Then what are you?" Fletch turned to Cyber. "Me? I'm half android. Bad accident a few years back." "Seriously?! What- I mean... I mean, I meant whats your rank?" "You don't need to know. Just know that I can break you in half if you piss me off." Cyber smiled. "Okay... With that smile, I'm not sure if I should take you seriously-" "Shut it!" Ninz snapped. "Okay. That just made you less hot." Fletch mumbled. Ninz ignored him. They soon reached a huge rock wall that held an engraved emblem of a dragon coiled around a wolf that was pierced by a long sword, with a pair of crossed pistols above it. "Interesting." Fletch commented. Ninz placed her palm on the wall and the dragon's eyes lit up and it started moving round the wolf. The rock wall started shaking and the spot where the emblem was, disintegrated, revealing a long walkway. "Just how many walkways does this place have?" "Many Fletch. So many, that you may die getting lost in it." Ninz replied. They soon got to a room, similar to the one on the ship. Andrieth stood at the front in her long White trench coat, her Amber coloured eyes burning. She smiled. The trio walked up to her. "I see that everything is going as planned?" "All as planned Andi." Ninz replied. "Good. We'll now have to prepare for the next phase."
