I agree completely! I use to be like that and it started for me at the age of 11 when my 13 year old cousin started having sex....I thought she was so old at the time and I looked up to her. I got involved with some douche bags who really didn't care about me but I thought they did. I was naive at that age. I got involved with my cousins boyfriends twin brother and we talked for about 3 years(most of the time he wanted to sext but I usually tried to avoid it). I started thinking about having sex at 13 because I thought I loved him and he loved me! Now that I look back I'm so glad I didn't! When I told him no he left and we haven't talked since...I've got a promise ring that I got when I was 13, that's what made me say no. I think God everyday my dad gave me that before everything. My cousin is 19 now and her baby is almost two....the father is not in the baby's life and my cousin has to depend on her family and shes doing this alone. Right after the baby was born, the father started dating my cousins best friend. I've had to help my cousin take care of her baby and my mind is changed. I will not have sex before Im married and especially not in High School. This thread will probably mean nothing to a lot of teens and children out there who are having sex but I agree with this completely! Thanks for posting it! Celibacy is a good thing to do if you can manage it, but your mind may change after highschool but by then you will have a wise head on your shoulders and will know to use protection. And don't worry about the length, my rants and threads have never been short and neither will they ever be. Yes my grandfather bought me a promise ring. I still wear it, but it's nice to see a young person stick to what it means. -
Thanks and yea I know my mind could change but your right I'll be older. I'm certainly gonna try to stick to not having sex before marriage though because your obviously more mature, ready for the responsibility of a child, and my life is A LOT less complicated then my friends who do have sex lol Im just living my life and having good clean fun lol
Yes and you're totally right to do so. A lot of them are wasting their childhood so willingly and the parents aren't taking it enough control. I lost my virginity when I'd been with the guy for a year. Yes it's still quite quick but I don't regret it. I was old enough to know the consequences if it wasn't done with precautions. -
They are and I agree about the parents needing to take control but even then sometimes kids will be kids...My dad is so strict lol when he gave me my promise ring he told me I couldn't date until I was at least 15. I still talked to guys and snuck around a little with Texting guys and stuff but never anything major and by 15 I had fallen in love and gotten my heart broken...I'm 16 now and I respect and love my dad for what he did for me. Point is parents need to take control and kids need to listen to their parents. If I had listened to my Dad I could've saved myself so much heart break and regret. It's to bad most time kids don't realize their parents are right until it's to late...
