He grinned devilishly. I had to admit, I kinda liked the way it looked. "First, kiss me." he said. I was there in a second. Not with a kiss but a gun to his chest yet again. "You rrreeeaaaallllllly piss me off." I said, glaring. I opened my mouth to yell more, but I was cut off by the whispers...
Charlie and I stared at each other, not moving. There were five now, but my dads voice sounded strained. It must be because I shot it. We could tell they were above ground, but were digging to get to us. Charlie pulled a gun out of nowhere. I looked at him, confused. He shrugged. We made a silent plan to jump out on three. He would work on my four mutts while I did off his one. Then I would help him with mine. This way we could avoid hurting our sort of loved ones for as long as possible. He held up three fingers. He slowly ticked them down, but when he got to one, he kissed me. It was short, but deliberate. It might have been his last chance. He smirked and we jumped out together. Charlie threw the crate hiding our camp, pinning down two. We shot none stop, hoping to hit one. The howls of pain were horrible... Once I saw a flash of red leap at me, but Charlie shot him down. Two jumped at Charlie at the same time, and I got one as he got the other. It was a bloody battle with many horrible screams. Another sprung at me, and it's claws grazed my arm. We fired until we were out of amo. And then, once the dust cleared, we saw death.
We didn't have a second. There was red and howls as a mutant attacked us with surprise on it's side. We didnt have anymore amo. I slammed my gun on the side of it's head while Charlie picked it up and threw it. I moved a strand of hair out of my face. "Nice throw." I breathed, trying to catch my breath. We scanned the battle field. Three of the mutts were dead and the one Charlie threw had ran off. Two were out there somewhere. There was also twelve dead guards. We checked to make sure each were dead. I counted the bullet holes in a mutt. It took 8 shots to bring it down. "Not bad... " Charlie said. I nodded. We went back to his shelter, reloaded and grabbed some food. "Alright, let's get outta here..." I said. I started to walk west, but Charlie grabbed my arm. He spun me around And kissed me. I enjoyed it for a little while, then pushed away. "No. First of all, there could still be people coming. Second of all..." I started to scold. I was interrupted by a slow clapping. "Gotta hand it to ya, you got better Sis." my brothers deep voice said approvingly.
I whipped around, and there stood my adopted little brother. "Danny!!!" I shouted, running to him. He was only a year younger, but still short. I kissed his cheek and hugged him happily and gratefully. "Who the hell is this?" Charlie asked, sounding a little jealous. "It's Danny!" I said quietly. "The real question is, who the hell are you?!" Danny said protectively. "That's Charlie. He's helping me out. And apparently there's a prophecy about us." I said. Charlie nodded. Danny shrugged, still not trusting him. I decided to change the subject. "Danny, have you seen Ariel?!" I asked. "I thought she was with you!!"
