Emma's pov I sat there, staring out the window, when i heard the door open. "Hello, Emma." i hear a familiar voice say and i freeze. "William." i whisper, turning to look at him. He was grinning, his blue eyes cold as he walked towards my hospital bed. "How did you recover? Katelyn stabbed you!" i exclaim, cowering, tubes still attached to my body. Anger filled his eyes. "I shot her, she isn't dead." he smirks, "yet, at least." He stops at my bed and suddenly grabs me, yanking me towards him. His face was inches from mine, his breath warm. "Now, how about a thankyou for not killing you on the docks?" he says. "you didnt do that on purpo-" he kisses me, cutting me off. His lips were soft yet firm against mine and i went with it. Suddenly i tasted blood and pulled him away, shouting in suprise when i see blood flowing from his mouth, his stomach covered in fresh, blood and his clothes ripped and dirty. "You know, they left me?" he says, smirking, before stabbing me in the chest with a knife. <><><><><><><><><><><><> I slowly opened my eyes, my head throbbing. Eveything was blurry but i heard hushed whispers of people. "Who's there?" i croak, trying to get things into focus. "its me, honey." i hear my mom cry. Suddenly things get into focus and i see a group of doctors, all with grave faces. "whats wrong?" i ask, scared. "Its Katelyn." my mom says, wiping a tear. "She's dead." I hear the words and a choked sob escapes my throat and tears burst from my eyes. No! Not Katelyn! I yell in my mind. "she died of blood loss and of shock." a doctor explains and i close my eyes. "What about the boy?" i ask. "What boy? We only found you and Katelyn at the docks."

I felt the I.Vs and the tubes, the heart monitor beeping away. I breathed harshly through the oxygen mask and close my eyes, tears trickling down my face. I dont want to die! I cry in my head. I feel my breath coming slower and slower and i relaxed, the pain subsiding. The last thing i hear is the heart monitor stop beeping. <><> I was standing at the docks, watching the water in a pretty summer dress. "be careful, you might fall in." William warned, coming up next to me. "why would you care?" i ask sitting on the edge. "Because, i care about you." he answers, sitting beside me. The warm breeze blowing the hair off my face, i frown, feeling something was wrong. I stand up abruptly and walk over to a spot. I see a dark stain and know it was once blood. William follows me, seeing the stain. "you are bad." i say, turning to him. "that was the old me." he says, catching my hand and holding it against his face." I embrace him, closing my eyes and resting my head over his shoulder. I open my eyes and see glimpses of that night, like a rerun. I pull back, looking into his blue eyes, which seemed lighter, and let go, walking to my body, which was laying on the ground, blood pooling around myself. "here i am, where are you?" i ask William, a seagull crys overhead. He walks to a lump one the ground and i follow, seeing William lying there, hidden behind some crates, his body also covered in blood. "i tryed to drag myself away." he explains. "i'm so sorry." i say, hugging him. "so am i, my life was so horrible, ever since i was little. Everyone else lived life happily, while i was miserable." i He explains, a tear trickled down his face and i wipe it away. "its ok, i understand." i say and lean over to kiss him gently. He wraps his arms around me and pulls away. "i always did love you, and i hated both you and myself for it. I wanted you to pay." he says, kissing me again. I kiss him back and then whisper in his ear, a smile on my face, "its ok. I forgive you." <><><> Ok, well, more when she was dead and all.
