Naomi I watched Tyler for a while, wondering what he was thinking about. He had this odd spacey look that he got when he was thinking hard. Then I looked back. Joe was sitting stiffly, his back ridged and his posture tense. Taylor was glaring at heart who looked at joe with an odd expression that made me think that she had forgotten Dan and was now pursuing more.....fitting prey. Joe looked uneasily at the two and I decided he was choosing which one. Conflict battered across his face as he thought. Otto was gazing thoughtfully at the ceiling and I thought that when he wasn't flirting, he seemed to be a good asset to us. Sophie's eyes wandered and set themselves on Tyler, a person she had met sparingly. My eyes flitted to Tyler, who looked half asleep. "Tyler," I said poking him "wha-" he said and his eyes flashed as he pulled over "god damn it nay nay don't do that while I'm driving!" he screamed "ugh. It's my turn to drive anyways so just-" I motioned with my hands. He got out of the car and I got in to the drivers seat. My mind reeled. According to the GPS we were about 1 state away from PIMD the college.
Hehe some might not like this part (o^^o) Jasmine My stomach was in tight knots as Jodie led me through the twists and turns of the huge facility that never seemed to end. Maybe it didn't. She led me in to a large room filled with sparring people, people inside of a huge machine that looked too magnificent to be real. When it caught dan's eye, the look on his face was pure ecstasy. I chuckled to myself and followed Jodie to one of the large mats. "Cyber, get over here and drag Dan with you" she called and cyber obediently brought the awestruck Dan with him. "Today, you will learn basic fighting skills, and be introduced to other various techniques." Jodie said. "well, I know a bit about fighting myself" Dan said a little, looking a little smug. "Hmm...show me your moves then, Dan" Jodie said thoughtfully. He nodded and adopted a stance. She simply stood there. He quickly darted around her, gabbing low and protecting himself. Jodie had quicker reflexes and dodged easily. At one point, she stopped and grabbed dan's hand in mid strike and flipped him over. She stood over him and smiled. "your good...but you need to improve" she grinned and offered him a hand. He took it gratefully and they all turned their attention to me. "I know your special ability allows you to become extremely powerful and practically invincible. Am I correct?" Cyber said. I nodded. "However, you will need to learn how to fight with your own skills, so that you do not connect yourself more with you controller,remember, if you tap in to that strength your souls will intertwine even more. Then you will be a virtual robot." he said. I hesitantly stepped on to the mat and Jodie and Dan quickly scurried off.
Cyber faced me and I took up the standard stance. I breathed and walked up to him. I watched his movements. His left hand twitched so I jumped left. His right jab, the one that would've knocked me down sailed an inch from my waist. I didn't stop to celebrate my close encounter but, I jumped back avoiding his hand again. Quickly I jumped forward and punched his unprotected stomach, sending him staggering a little. My hit had been weak. Quickly I jumped backwards quick as a rabbit. Cyber matched my speed. Together we danced around the mat. My next hit was more precise. I hit him straight in the stomach, with much more force. He stumbled a little and I kicked him in the side as he staggered and finally he fell. Jodie and Dan watched in awe. "Whoa. Teach me how to do that!!!" Dan said. Jodie smiled, "well done jaz, your a natural!" I grinned appreciatively and stuck my hand out to cyber. He grinned and grabbed it. The proceeded to pull me down on top of him. I laughed and smiled. He grinned and I saw something in his eyes that reminded me of something. His hand was still at my waist and my hair in his face. "Uh...you can let go" I said blushing. "Oh..." he looked at me sheepishly"sorry," he said, turning bright red. But I could tell he wasn't sorry. He released my waist and we stood up at the same time, knocking our heads together. I almost fell again but he caught me. "whoa. Be careful there." he said and he let go of me this time. He sent tiny chills down my spine. This was freaking me out. A voice in my head said 'well...Tyler isn't here is he?' the voice was microscopic and my body burst in to flames as I thought of Tyler's touch. I sighed and I pushed my feelings out of my mind. We practiced tae-quan-do, karate, and other fighting techniques. By the end of the day I was knocking both cyber and Jodie down with relative ease. They were skilled opponents but I learned fast. Same thing with Dan. He and I were getting very good. "Tomorrow, we will learn to use weapons. You guys already have the basics down pact." Jodie said happily. Cyber grinned and I smiled. "hey jaz," jodie said when we got to our room. "I saw that look cyber gave you...he's sweet on you" she smiled. "ugh. Speak of the devil, I have to go practice with him now." I said, then I realized something "why wasn't epic training with us?" I asked "I think Master O'malley pulled him out to teach him more about his future and stuff I guess." she said. "bye" I said and I walked to cyber and Dan's room. I knocked on the door and cyber answered it.
"give me a minute." he said. I looked in to his room. It was a teal color and there were two over sized beds, like Jodie's and mine. It was a room that matched his personality. Calm,reassuring, and bright. He walked back to me with a box in his hand "come." he breathed. I followed him and he led me to a room. It had tough steel walls and nothing breakable. "We aren't the only ones. There are millions of people with our ability. Their controllers are unaware of them. They are safe. You see, this technology was something people wanted to try so people tried to repeat it. It was more flawed than this. The controller and their marionette had to have relations for the technology to work, as a result, the obsolete model was discarded. But lots of people had been chipped without knowing it. They implanted it much like a micro chip in an animal, so there were, and still are many left. There us no known way to get rid of this curse, so we must control it." he explained "who is your controller?" I blurted out. He smiled, "epic" he responded without meeting my eyes. My jaw dropped. He showed me what was inside the box. It was a necklace with a small diamond shaped pendant that glowed mysteriously. Cyber pulled out a small triangle shaped necklace from his collar. "These help us control it. Only the oldest member of our organization knows how to make them, and then when he is dying the next oldest member is told. And so forth." he handed me the little necklace. I studied it. It had tiny intricate designs that swirled around it. I handed it back to him and he put his arms around my shoulders and put it on. His breath was warm on my neck and I turned around quickly "thank you" I said quietly "er...well you will need to block his emotions from reaching you. In order to do that; you must first learn to use a strong diversion in your mind to block it. Something that could tear your attention from anything." he said," think of the strongest thing you can." I thought for a second and it came to me instantly. "I have it." I told Cyber. "Hmm...ok," he said "now let it consume your mind. Nothing but that thing." he said. I thought hard. I let that wonderful memory fill me up, take me in, drown me. Suddenly I was pulled back to reality. Cyber was on top of me. "hmm...it works" he said, smiling. I nodded but he didnt get off me. I waited...and waited...the moments ticked by and I could feel my heart and his. "umm..."I said and I coughed. He was still looking in to my eyes. "uh can you get off me?" I said. "oh..." he said and he got up. I refused his hand and got up. That tiny voice got a teeny tiny bit bigger.

As l slept that night another odd dream. I saw Tyler, his arms were wrapped around me, I smiled to myself and imagined this. It brought a sweet taste to my mouth. Then it shifted. It was Tyler screaming at me. I cried and I broke inside. The pain in his unintelligible words brought hot salty tears to my eyes. Then it shifted again. Cyber and Tyler were on opposite sides of me. Each one looking at me. My heart and body yearned, craved, needed, Tyler. The voice that gnawed at me disappeared replaced by anger, frustration and desperation caused by this. I wanted it to be over. I wanted my father to come in and hug me and tell me it would all be alright like when I was a little girl. I sighed. This was hell. Pure and simple. I was separated from the people I loved and was a guinea pig for a god damned black market organization. FML. My dream took me to a new place. The room...that room that I was held in. It made me want to cry and smile at the same time. I shook my head. What the hell was going on.'I'm stronger than this' I thought, 'crying about it wont help.' I said to myself sternly. Then I woke up to Jodie prodding me with her finger. "Hey!" I yelped and I jumped. "C'mon" she laughed "we have to practice." she said sternly. Once I was dressed, I followed Jodie around the confusing place. She lead me to a cafeteria. It was full of bustling people in suites and regular clothes alike. A snarl of pain pounded suddenly in my skull. I paused and held my head. I pushed whatever that was coming away. I sighed heavily and followed Jodie to where Cyber and Dan were sitting. "We should go now" Cyber said. "But we haven't eaten anything yet!" Dan complained. Cyber smiled and tapped the table. A small apple appeared and he picked it up and tossed it to Dan. "WHOA HOW'D YOU DO THAT?!?" Dan said eagerly. "the tables are touch sensitive." Cyber explained. He tapped the same spot and a banana appeared on the table top. "Eat up." he tossed me the apple and chucked the banana at Dan. "Whatever." I mumbled and quickly scarfed my apple down.
