I was anticipant and a little scared of going back. I wondered what would be there. Rusty.....I trusted him. I CARED about him. And all this time he was just playing a role like in a play. It showed me how manipulative people who seem good can be. I was on my guard with even Taylor and Joe. I doubted they would betray my trust but you never know. I knew this wouldn't be it. It couldn't be. They wouldn't give up that easily. It was just a matter of time. I thought this grimly as Dan landed the plane. We met up with jack at the front gates. "good to see you all came back ok." jack said "yeah well not so good." I said and I told them about me. "Oh my god.....that's awesome in a horrible way." Dan said with a gleam in his eye. Naomi slapped him upside the head. "don't go all evil scientist on us, Dan" she chided. "noo I'm a ninja not a scientist." Dan cried. "hahahahaha" Naomi laughed "uh-huh yeah" Tyler said sarcastically. I laughed a little too. And soon everyone was chuckling at Dan. "hey!" he said flushing. "ok then you guys better get in here." jack said as he opened the gates. The whole campus was quiet. The smell of freshly cut grass lingered in the heavy morning air. Dew sparkled in the grass like little crystals and birds began to tweet a beautiful song. This was home for now. ______________________________END OF CHAPTER 1
Chapter two: the discovery ____________________________ I'd settled into a fairly normal routine. Get dressed, eat breakfast, go to classes, learn a bit of "ninja skillz" from Naomi and Dan who was learning it too. Hang out with tyler. Then go to sleep. But I was always on my guard. I couldnt trust anyone any more. Except Tyler and Naomi. They were my life long best friends and that has never changed. But I knew it was only a matter of time precious, precious time. I was still unstable. I would lash out with no given warning. But I learned to control it so I didnt hurt anyone. Joe once joked about it, "damn girl, you on roids or something? 'Cause that ain't normal." he said "no. And if you haven't noticed I'm not normal." I said back. Jack, one of the moderators, doubled as a secret agent from an organization that he wasn't allowed to classify. He had helped my friends on their daring rescue. So had the dean's assistant, Ms. Extasy. They kept us updated on tracking down PIMD, the largest black market cartel in the world. And ironically, the name of my school. My stable life however, was shattered. Why? Because all the people I cared about were missing. Naomi went first, then Tyler, then Fletcher, then Heart, then Joe, then Taylor. The only person left, was my crazy, kick butt, computer-loving pal Dan.
