Running Solo Emmie's POV I was connecting with the forest. Connecting with the wolves and animals. I was connecting with my mate. There on the ground, terrified, layed Drake. I suddenly knew all about him. When he was little his parents died, after his first shift he thought he was only one of his kind, he had a little brother but his brother shifted to early and died during the process, he learned there are more of his kind, and he loves me. I fell to the ground exhausted. Drake ran over to me. "Emmie? Are you okay?" he said. This wasn't an act. He was really worried about me. Maybe he thought the power killed me. I stayed silent barley breathing. I watched as he leaned over and kissed me acting like this would be Snow White and I would wake up. I sat up, "Drake?" I asked. I am going to play this up. "Emmie! Emmie what happened?" he asked. "what do you mean?" I laughed and stood up. "You and the glowing white and your eyes being a white light" he said. I knew about the lights around me but not the eyes. "my eyes changed color?" I asked confused. He nodded. I looked around. Drake's pack walked out of the woods. "Emmie, join my pack?" he asked. To humans a wolf wanting another wolf in their pack is normal. But a shifter and wolf asking their mate to join their pack is like asking them to marry them. "I'm sorry Drake... I can't" is sadness is seeming to turn into rage."But why" "It's that I just found out I'm the only Royal wolf. I just left home and I have a lot to think about. I just want to be alone for a bit" I said. He looked like he was about to explode with tears and rage. "Fine. Just remember you have me if you need someone to talk to" he mumbled and then walked into the woods. Now I feel TERRIBLE! I looked around. I walked off the edge of the cliff and then walked around I found a cave and sniffed around in it. Nobody has used it in 4-5 years. I walked in and shifted. Then I layed down. I always feel safer in wolf form. I kept laying there and soon met the dream fairy.
(okay I decided the next could will be Emmie until I get an idea to write about Drake) Emmie's POV I woke up and it was dark out. Something was outside the cave. I heard it moving all around, more came. They were surrounding the cave. One of me, an estimated 15 of them. I looked out of the cave an saw the shine of eyes. What are they? I lifted my lip and let out a low growl. They heard me and quickly set up. I walked out of the cave slowly. There was on on the cave, five to the left, 3 to the right and about 7 hidden in the woods around me. I let out a smirk. I always love a good fight. When I walked out they didn't attack. Instead one spoke. "You are the last Royal?" it said surprised. "Girls can't rule!" another one said. I jumped and pinned the 2nd guy down. "Girls can rule huh? Girls can fight and a girl pinned you down." I said with a growl. His eyes widened and he whimpered. Their alpha spoke, "The last royal is all alone? Join our pack. We are all shifters. We can work together to get you to the top" I thought. 'You denied our mates pack but you might join... HIS!' my wolf yelled. 'Just a temporary thing' I said. 'hmph, if you get touchy with him I will not let you go wolf.' it said. Wow my wolf is stubborn. "No." I replied. "What! No! No one has denied an invite to my pack EVER!" he yelled. "well if I denied my mates pack I will deny yours!" I said. "What if your mate joined with you?" he said. "My mate is Alpha Drake of the Riverbane Pack!" I said with pride. "Our biggest enimies" he mumbled. "You aren't marked" he said sniffing the air. "I know." I replied. "If you want to piss him off join us." he said smirking. I gave a sly smile, "I will join."
Emmie: I followed the Alpha. I found out that his pack is called the "Mountain Hunters". The Alpha is named Nick. He hasn't found his name. It was interesting. "So what do you like and dislike" he asked. "Okay. I'm Emmie, I dislike I'm the last Royal. I like that I found this pack to join. I dislike I denied my mates pack." I said. "Well maybe we can visit the spirit wolves and ask about mates. Maybe I dunno you can be my mate?" he asked shyly. "I love Drake. I barley know him but Im sorry. I'll be your girlfriend but not mate" I said. He was sad when I said I won't be his mate but happy when I said I would give him a chance. (yeah yeah it's short I gotta do something real quick)
(Back and it's pouring outside... I didn't leave for the weather I left to see if there is soccer. DAMN YOU COACH FOR HAVING SOCCER IN 2 HOURS!) Emmie: "are we there yet" I complained walking up the mountain. "Almost" he replied. "Why can't we travel in wolf form?" I asked. "Because i thought it would be fun to get to know more about you." he said "UGH!" I said an shifted. 'im bored' I thought. 'Me too why can't alpha shift and us run there' someone said. 'Whos in my head?' I asked. 'You havent been in a pack before have you?' he asked. 'No now tell me whats going on' I said getting inpatient. 'When your in a pack you can talk mentally to the pack.' he said. 'Oh! I'm Emmie!' I said. 'Im Adrian.' he said. Hmmm... That name sounds familiar. Oh well. "We are here!" the alpha announced. Everyone ran inside in wolf form. I walked into the foyer. IT WAS HUGE! this house must be 3-5 floors! There was marble floors, a stair case that went up. Down the hall was a kitchen. The fridge was atleast 6 feet tall and 5 feet wide. There were tons of cabinets with snacks and there was a blue cooler labeled beer and a red one labeled soda. It was amazing. The living room had a 88' TV and about 3 couches and 4 sitting chairs. I walked outback and there was a ski lift and a hot tub and pool. There were kids playing in the pool and adults in the hot tub. When I turned around there was alittle kid. "Who are you?" he asked. I shifted and bent down. "Hi I'm Emmie. I'm new" I said with a smile. He smiled, hugged me and said, "Are you my brothers mate?" I laughed. "No. But he seems nice. If I could choose a mate I would choose him." I said. The boy ran outside and jumped in the pool. That little boy was cute. I continued to explore and I saw Nick. "Emmie! I was looking for you to show you your room!" he said excited. We went to the 4th floor and to the end of the hall. "Close your eyes" he said. I did as told and I heard the door open. I smelled flowers, and cleanness. "Open" he said. I gasped. It was a baby blue room, king sized bed with a blue and white stripped blanket. There were white curtains, a fully stocked make-up table, drawers, and closet. "Nick. This is beautiful" I said turning around but he wasn't there. I turned around again and he was sitting on the bed. "Will you go out with me?" he asked. Do you think Emmie and Nick should go out? ANSWER ANSWER ANSWER THE QUESTION
Drake's POV "Why did I leave Emmie in the woods! I would of tried again." I complained. "Uh Alpha? Why don't you just go and find her?" my 2nd hand man said. "THAT'S BRILLIANT!" I said and I was so excited. I ran out the door and shifted. I smelled her scent in a near by territory. YAY SHE DIDN'T GO FAR! I ran and ran until I was on the summit of the mountain. She is in their pack house.
Drake I walked into the house. Everyone looked at me. I walked upstairs. Her scent lead to the 3rd floor. I followed her scent for a long time. It lead to the last door on the floor. I walked in. There was the Alpha on her bed and he said, "Will you go out with me?" "YOU LITTLE [censored]" I yelled at the alpha. "What?" he said looking confused. "SHE TOLD YOU I WAS HER MATE AND YOU ASK HER OUT?" I yelled. Realization hit him. He might have the biggest pack in the nation but I AM the strongest wolf in the nation. Well Emmie might be. "ENOUGH!" Emmie yelled. I looked at her. She looked so pure and innocent, yet one day she rule us all with me by her side. "I was going to say no!" she yelled and ran over to me and hugged me. "Drake... Just because I didn't want to join your pack doesn't mean I don't love you" she said putting her hands on my cheek. She got on her toes and kissed me. Then I saw it in slow motion. Nick flew at Emmie, knocking her off her feet. She hit the ground and blood was everywhere. I kicked Nick and he flew against the wall and I held Emmie in my hands.
